Watch his video series on the golf swing. You will find that his system of practicing what he tells you to do will bring a swing that is great for all shits and youll hit the prettiest controlled shots youve ever seen. Its a lot of work, a year or two and you'll be very happy winning most of the time against your buddies.

💯 I showed my father this drill at the age of 75, and his eyes lit up 👀. He crushed a 7 iron without trying. He turned & said to me, "I've never felt that before." Meaning with such effortless power. He's been playing great golf for years with this drill. 🍻
@therealgolfsecrets20 сағат бұрын
I should mention that I had him sit down into his delivery position as he pulled the club straight down. That's where the effortless power came from. The preset drill placed his trail elbow in the proper position in the back swing, which allowed his trail arm to work properly through impact.

Just tried it today. I don't think I am doing this drill 100% correct (very difficult for a beginner), but it still worked out extremely well! I will keep doing this drill. Thank you for this great video!
@therealgolfsecrets21 сағат бұрын
My pleasure, Louis. This drill will quickly become your favorite drill, especially when you lose your swing/confidence out on the course. Beginners have the advantage IMHO, as they don't have any bad habits to shake off. I suggest doing this drill in front of a mirror while watching this video closely. Work the drill a few minutes a day for two weeks, & report back in the comments 🍻

Steve, this is not only my favorite drill, It's the easiest! and I don't practice 24/7! I play golf about every two weeks, and as soon as my swing begins to fall apart on the course, this is my go-to drill that pulls my swing back together. I've finished rounds using this drill with unbelievable results. Do your swing a favor and just try it.

this is a direct contradiction to today's coaching which will have you set the club in the same position with the toe down to match spine angle
@rickysilver14792 күн бұрын
correct. most people already rotate their forearms too much to start the backswing. Ingraining forearm roll for these players is probably not ideal.

The nuisances as to where the club face is pointing is not the benefit of this drill. It’s to set the hands and arms and then use ur body and shoulders to get into a good backswing position

@@bmatt772727272 "The nuisances as to where the club face is pointing is not the benefit of this drill" the word you are looking for is NUANCES, and taking the club away by rolling the forearms and opening the face is a death move for most handicap golfers.

@@therealgolfsecrets Show me one instance where Pete or anyone else talks about the physics of the golf club or how it actually works. Have fun looking, because you won't find it. And yes you can teach someone to use a tool without actually knowing how it works, but it takes a long time and experimentation which is why golf instruction is all over the place but that's what we're all used to so no one ever questions it. Pete Cowan never won a major and only won ONCE and using a successful golfer to illustrate silly ideas is what many instructors do to get you to think that player's success is somehow related to this instructors teachings, which it is not. If you don't believe me buy Pete's golf instruction DVD. It's every silly thing advocated by Golf Magazine from 1965 on.

John Rahm has a very bowed wrist
@therealgolfsecrets8 күн бұрын
He has a different method of swinging. If you are using that style of swing, you'll definitely want to keep it bowed. If you're more traditional like say Rory Mcllroy (Pete Cowen's Client), this video is for you. If you are unsure of how you swing: just make a swing with a bowed, flat, and cuped wrist and use the one that works best with your natural swing. 9/10 golfers will see the best results with a flat wrist. 🍻

It's hilarious to have Seve in this, he was notorious for NOT HAVING ANY CONTROL of his ball because his grip was so loose that he would hit it all over the planet and never in the fairway LMAO But because he was so relaxed with his hands, his pitching and chipping feel were spectacular. Don't listen to these guys, they are all LYING about the grip pressure, they gripped so tight, but due to their natural strengths, it felt light to them
