GMTV was the glory days of Morning Television and I used to watch it a couple of times, long before all this bullcrap with Good Morning Britain, Lorraine, This Morning (The Phil and Holly Era) and Loose Women which I am NOT a big fan of and I’m don’t watch them.

13 years ago last week (5th September 2024), today is the 12th of September 2024.

I really like the first title sequence (which I don't actually remember) - it features two different professional-looking black women and a group of children of all ethnic backgrounds hurrying to school together - how politically correct and ahead of it's time.

Fml, i remember it being so modern and cutting edge back in the 1990s and even the 2000s, this theme song echoing in the living room before school! Now looks so dated 😂 hard to believe the original GMTV theme tune is over 30 years old 🥴 and its been 14 years since it stopped airing.

After Ben Shephard Left GMTV Today And Joins Good Morning Britain On April 28th 2014 And Left Good Morning Britain On February 23rd 2024 And Also Joins This Morning On March 11th 2024

So excellent how I miss these tunes in the early mornings back in the good old days x

Loved GMTV. Daybreak, it's replacement was a joke! ITV have a long history of ending something great and replacing it with something completely naff!

They did the rock version of the 1993 theme tune at the 2010 last series of gmtv before daybreak took over until 2014

I think the title should been GMTV with Ruth not GMTV with Lorraine

Also,must have been a bit of deja vu for Lorraine and like she'd gone back 25 years as she was one of the main presenters on the TV-am sofa towards the end!

Disappointed as I genuinely liked the "feel" of Daybreak's previous iteration with Dan and Kate in Studio 3. I thought looking at a nice outlook of London, albeit quite dark was much easier at 6am on a freezing winter morning than this ghastly yellow colour in the early morning.

I meant to say, from Sep 4, 2010, GMTV is the final edition.

After Sep 3, 2010, GMTV is now ITV Breakfast.

I watched GMTV mostly weekdays not so much on weekends as I had a paper round at weekends until I started doing it 7 days a week

For a second there I literally could see my old house in my head and felt like I was getting ready for school
