Well first, welcome to the channel and thank you for listening :) Super interesting questions, with a lot to unpack. I'll start with the idea of jurisdiction. We based this on Action Comics #544. And in that comic, Superman goes there without hesitation, so we tried to stay true to that. And as Lex prepared to kill Superman and he called for help, I guess the way I looked at it, was if >I< could fly, and one of my own kids were in another country, and someone was getting ready to kill them, I'd fly there and help them right away. As for the numbers, and why it's hard to roll high enough to hit him, Lexor orbits a Red Sun. So in the 1960's, when Superman goes to Lexor his stats drop to human levels. So Superman's normal Dexterity of 26 dropped to a mere Dexterity of 4. When he goes back in the 80's, what we see in the comic is him wearing this weird sun screen, that *kinda* works, lol. So now he has powers under the red sun of Lexor, but they don't seem to be as good as they normally are. And every round, those powers drop. So I looked really closely at how many times they were hitting each other in the comic, how much damage the hits seemed to do, etc, and my ruling as GM was to have a Kryptonian on Round One start with their numbers cut in half. On Earth, Superman looks like this... DEX: 26, STR: 50, BODY: 40 So on Lexor, on Round One, we did this... DEX: 13, STR: 25, BODY: 20 Conversely, the Lexor Battlesuit has... DEX: 22, STR: 26, BODY: 26 So for someone with a Dexterity that is now only a 13 to hit someone with a Dexterity of 22, according to the first table we roll on (to hit) they need to roll an 18 or better on 2d10. And then every round after that we drop the heroes numbers again. So the longer they are there, the harder it is to win. So if it were a one on one fight, it would indeed be very one sided. Which is why Lex Luthor is doing it. He wants to win, and is absolutely willing to cheat. In the comic, he can't resist being evil, and he started committing crimes on Lexor wearing the Battlesuit (which would be a whole separate discussion). But the point is that you are right, Lex has absolutely created a one sided situation. So Superman calls in multiple characters that he has listed as "Connections" under the Advantages section of his Character Sheet. And while one on one, this encounter is almost sure to kill a single Kryptonian, when you bring in more and more characters, it changes the odds. Talking about statistical probability in the DC Heroes RPG can be difficult because if you roll doubles, you get to roll again. But generally speaking, the heroes had about a 1 in 4 chance of hitting Luthor. So by bringing in 4 heroes, we basically figure one of them will land a hit each round. And the hope is that they will knock Lex out before they totally run out of power. I'm sorry that that's so long-winded, and jargon-heavy. But hopefully it made sense. In the end, in answer to both of your questions, we were basically trying to represent through game play what we saw in the comic. And again, thanks for listening :)

Well, you raise an interesting point... what IS a super-hero? Because like ... Iron Man and Michael Knight both uses gadgets, and neither wears a cape ... the Punisher, sometimes seems to wear a black t-shirt and black jeans, so a costume might not even be required. And in season one, it always seemed to me that KITT was the vehicular equivalent of Superman. He *does* have an evil twin, as well as "villains" like Goliath and Juggernaut ... so actually, KITT *might* be a super-hero. I'm not sure. As for why I included him, my thought was that I wanted to include a lot of nostalgic stuff in the 80's, because when we played in the 90's a lot of our original characters kept saying how much they missed the 80's, so I wanted to try to include some videos that would set up that later tone. As for your one million years ago thing, you lost me on that one. I'm confused. And finally, my back hurts, lol. It kinda always hurts, but lately, it's been REALLY bad. Oh well, that's life I guess. On some level I guess I sort of assume everyone has something that hurts on a daily basis. This is a Table Top Role-Playing Game Campaign that started in 1985 and is still going to this day. The Batman 66 thing was just one, of thousands of RPG Adventures that we have played over the years.

Does Roy Harper take over now that Oliver Queen is dead?

Yes, in our game world he becomes Red Arrow. Also, Black Canary's daughter is Olivia Queen who shows up in a couple different DC multiverse worlds in the comics. So when Red Arrow is too old to do the job anymore, Olivia Queen takes over. Then years after that, her son is the modern day Green Arrow, and the grandson of Olly and Dinah.

I'm a big proponent of the idea that it's YOUR story, and as a creator / artist, you are allowed to tell whatever story you want. So, personally, my default mode would be that Harvey feels like he HAS to flip that coin for every decision. But if you want to tell a story about ... like, Harvey makes a Willpower Check, or whatever, and he decides he wants to be better ... I don't think there is anything wrong with that. I think they could both work. And I love the idea of the Question trying to use his mask stuff, to try to help Harvey. Partially because I've never seen that before. So it strikes me as a fresh idea :)

Right :) The thing about our game, is we ran it out of order. So we started in 1985, with original adventures. And anything that happened before that was based on our pre-conceived expectations about what the world was like. So for instance, we just assumed Peter Parker had been bitten by a radioactive spider, or Hal Jordan was given a power ring. But we hadn't went back and played those events out yet. So a lot (but not all) of these videos where I'm talking about the past, will be things people kind of expect. To create a game world that is familiar.

Using real time, instead of comic book time, would make Tony Stark too old to fight if the Civil War game was set in the modern day.

Due to House Rules, it's kind of a mix of the two. Generally speaking we prefer the rules of 3rd Edition. But when it comes to Pre-Crisis characters like Superman and Wonder Woman we'll import some of their higher Attributes from 1st Edition. We also play TSR's Marvel Super-Heroes sometimes. But more often that that, for the Marvel characters we convert them into DC Heroes. :)

I feel like that's how super hero role playing games work though. The game master asks who everybody wants to play. And one person just saw Wolverine & Deadpool, so they pick Lady Deadpool. The next person just watched the Harley Quinn cartoon, so they pick Poison Ivy. The next person watched Wonder Woman 1984 and they pick Cheetah. Someone else watches Loki and picks Terminatrix. While the last player was at Spirit Halloween, and went with Lady Death, lol.

Yeah, normally I do a "face swap" using Fotor. www.fotor.com/apps/swapper/ But they did an update recently, and ever since then, everything looks bad. So I'm guessing they had middle aged faces on a teenage body and it didn't look right. So the new update must automatically iron out wrinkles, etc. But I don't know for sure. Also, Scarlett Johansson has a lawsuit going right now (as of me writing this) where she is suing certain folks for using her likeness without her consent. As I understand it, she was mad about some pornographic movies making deepfake movies about her. So, as far as my stuff goes, it was always meant as a positive thing. It was more or less me saying "this person really looks the part" or ... "I grew up with this actor, and I'm nostalgic for their stuff." So I'd like to think Scarlett Johansson wouldn't be offended my me using her likeness. But between her lawsuit, and the Fotor update, I'm leaving towards not doing Face Replacements anymore. Because I don't want the KZbin rules to change in the future, and my old videos get deleted. My goal is for the old videos to stay up for a good long while, so people can look back at our game world's history.

Since we were adding characters like Supergirl and Miss Martian, Green Lantern was one of the few JLA founders to not have a representative in the Titans. So I went with Kyro from the 1967 Green Lantern cartoon. And we just added a Power Ring. I also like the idea of Kyro being an adult Lantern in the 80's.

I never saw it. I kind of referenced it by saying the car accident origin "wasn't how it was supposed to happen" and then saying the comic origin was the original way things went, before Kang's time travel screwed things up. But that's as far as I went. As for the pic, ... that's the A.I. The ONLY She-Hulk it knows is her. So that's what it insisted on giving me. So if I asked for someone else who's a larger girl, like Chyna, Gina Carano, Ronda Rousey, etc, it would ignore all that, and insist on Tatiana Maslany. But don't worry, my She-Hulk doesn't twerk, lol.

They made a cool Green Goblin mask for the first Spider-Man movie, then decided to not use it. And IMHO it looks *way* better than the one they ended up using.
