I got no problem with open carry what i have a problem with is the people that do it for the sole reason to cause problems, like the gym girls who shove their ass in your face then record you calling you a pervert online.

The black one is by Purpleheart Armory. The one I'm using is my own custom design made by a maker named Mark P. Lathom (look him up on FB).

Wow, you have a lot of bags. You should review my Temu bag that cost $8 and compare it to the high end bags. Off body carry is a good thing but it is slower but that's what we evaluate when we do it. I still use my off body carry bag at times.
@1stSpear2 ай бұрын
Yeah, I accumulated all these bags when I used to commute for work from San Diego to LA for nearly a year and it was such a pain in the ass having to conceal on body and be sitting in traffic for hours. Good to have when you can't carry on body.
@MaharlikaAWA2 ай бұрын
@@1stSpear is it hard to get a conceal permit there?
@1stSpear2 ай бұрын
For most of CA especially LA and San Franciso, yeah. But not in San Diego. Took 90 days. You need to submit a "good cause" statement as to why you need a ccw permit.
@MaharlikaAWA2 ай бұрын
@@1stSpear wow that sounds incredibly annoying. I'm glad you got to carry over there. Oregon has a better system but you know they're making it harder. At least trying to.

That is such a hard weapon to fight against with the yabak toyok sinawali style. It couldn't see throught he mask where it was going so I began to intently watch the weapon. My hands got smacked a lot of times. That was pretty fun.
@1stSpear3 ай бұрын
For sure it was fun and educational. My head got smack several times too, lol. The tricky part besides not being able to see the damn things while they're in motion is just trying to keep them in motion as you attempt to execute specific strikes. Most examples I've seen online, people were just whipping these things at each other vs utilizing actual techniques out of the flow like we're doing. So great job, man!
@MaharlikaAWA3 ай бұрын
@@1stSpear yeah that's what I've seen too. Not people keeping the fight or flow going just kind of like swinging hard and then backing off etc.

Did the Tongans ever actually use Kata like that, or was he just borrowing from Other martial Arts?
@1stSpear3 ай бұрын
I wouldn't know personally. I'm just using my own experience in FMA to free-flow with a Tongan war club. I do the same with other non-FMA weapons.
@Voodoomaria3 ай бұрын
@@1stSpear Thank you for answering. I have seen Maori in action with the Mere, and their leaner lighter version of the war staff in traditional form, and It's quite impressive (and intimidating). The Tongan weapon is heavier, and blunt ended, so I assume the techniques would follow shape, after all one does not use the same form for a sabre that one would use for a foil.

That's what I've been told, yeah. I've been trying to get a hold of an actual taiaha but it's mad difficult and this maker doesn't have enough polymer to make one in its proper length.
