Can you be good with IG with out using any aerial attack? When I "jump" with IG I never ever can land a hit on monster, I always miss by a mile.

I had the same issue. On Rise at least you have wirebugs and your double jump that help. But yeah, IG is awesome without jumping too. Full insect buffs = buffed attack defense and earplugs as well as access to new combos. I'm terrible with ig jumping in every other MH game then rise lol.
