I just wanted to comment and say thank you for helping me solve an issue where somehow I was always seeing a spectrogram under my tracks and I couldn't figure how to turn that off. I don't even remember turning it on! Peaks Display Mode! Thanks!

I recently gave up on using pro tools because of their pricing and subscription tiers & downloaded Reaper........ Your video here is the best method I've found in explaining sends,buses ect ect. With that being said I really dislike Reapers confusing way of doing this with the multiple choice. What I have found with this DAW' is it's for those who enjoy tailoring the DAW more than they like creating & recording music. I am not one of those people this DAW' is way to fussy for my taste in a perfect world I could buy pro tools 12 studio for a set amount put on a PC that's offline and be done with it.

And still valid today. I am just a hobbyist and got a lot of value from this video thanks! I didn't even think about having two eq's on the same track to get that high end back up. Cheers!

Is there a way to create an impulse response from a bunch of plugins, directly in reaper? In other words, without having a real mic, and without capturing a real cabinet etc. For context, I have a virtual guitar rig and I like the tone. I want to buy the original gear, although I want to use an IR loader instead of an amp and cabinet. Is there any way to just save my rig (without the effects that I will buy and use before my IR pedal) as an impulse response? If not, could you let me know what the process of capturing that specific tone would be, and what I would need? Insightful video, reaper is incredible 💯

This is great, thank you for the video. I see your Headphone output track is being sent to just one "line", line 3 for Headphone mix 1. How do you convert that mono signal to a stereo signal for the headphone amplifier?

This video isn't new but it's still pretty handy! I got some additional tone control by using the ReaXComp multiband compressor - being able to set attack /release / ratio per band helps to apply this to different situations pretty easily - worth a try!

Maybe turn off “adjust automatic delay comp” on the reainsert on the master. It shouldn’t matter if there’s some latency on the master and you can still do a ping test each time if you need to.
