Well done 👏 it looked very muddy underfoot and must have been tough going on the ascents (& descents as well)!
@floydtech29 күн бұрын
Yes, it was. I was slower on the descents because they were steeper overall and had obstacles in places. Which means proper fell race conditions. I think if I knew the course I'd have been quicker. Next time!

What a hill to start 😲🙈

That was the easy bit, I had the energy to run it at that point. 😂

Some stunning scenery. Looks like a great event 👌

Thanks for your comment! I've been in Shropshire recording a race, so I am slow to reply. During a race, I'm so focused on getting the job done that I don't fully appreciate the scenery, so having a video to look back on is great. I won't be able to do the CapTEN in 2025 as it clashes with the Isle of Wight Fell series, otherwise I would have done it again.

Thank you Thomas! The channel is keeping me busy. I'm out today for a Trail run in Hastings and should have that video up in the next week. Thanks again.

It can be treacherous that path in the wet - I sprained my ankle in roughly the same place a few years ago!
@floydtechАй бұрын
Did you manage to finish? Let's hope the 2025 race is less wet.
@CP-RunsАй бұрын
@@floydtech yes I did but I should have pulled out as I just made things worse and couldn’t run for quite a while!
@CP-RunsАй бұрын
Well done James, that’s some serious elevation you covered! 👏
@floydtechАй бұрын
Thanks, Christian! I was hoping to do it again in 2025, but it looks like it clashes with the Isle of Wight weekend.

Thank you for your comment, @paulhiles5368. I love those hills 😍 Plumstead Runners should be proud of the course and how well the race was organised and marshalled. I predict more than ten Cambridge Harriers next year. All the best!

It is really tough to reach the summit with wet paths and so many walkers who look like that they are oblivious to a race is going on , and those shining slabs that seems to me are also so slippery and dangerous . Well done to all the runners and to James for an amazing video ,
@floydtech6 ай бұрын
Thank you, I appreciate your comment. As with all accidents, generally, they are a combination of factors and the weather, the surface, my leap from a gully back to the path and the dawdling walkers all contributed to my face connecting with the stone floor. But I'm fine, the bruises will heal and I learnt something from the experience.

I agree with Olga that it is quite a tough climb . I would like to do this one , it is just too far away . I enjoyed watching the film . Well done to all the fell runners and to James also .
