Yeah, that could have been the trade off for that epic view of the moons shadow rolling over the field. I would hope they saw both. Even the high quality images don’t quite match the detail of seeing it in person.

@@nintendude7cubed You are absolutely right about that. No picture captures the entire experience of the cool air, the hole in the sky, the ruby red prominences, the streaming corona and the thought that it will be a while until you can experience something like this again.

Do you think they saw the eclipse? The sun was overhead - probably blocked by the balloon.

That sucks! I was nervous about that all weekend. We went as far south in Ohio as possible to avoid Lake Michigan screwing us over.

My group of friends took a vacation that whole weekend to visit another friend further east, and it all lead up to this. That entire moment could not have lined up better, I got goosebumps when I saw how perfect the footage turned out (the bolt is intentional (inside joke))…

@@willhemmingswe had randomly found it on top of the rubber seal in the trunk of the car, and were sending pics of it in different places all weekend to a guy from our group who couldn’t make it.

I have a mobula 7. I noticed the LBC warning comes very fast if you punch the throttle too much. Look at the voltage rather than the low battery warnings while flying 1s, because hitting the throttle hard will show a low battery warning almost right away when flying 1s. But after that initial sag, some of the voltage comes back as long as you aren't slamming the throttle too much. As long as the voltage doesn't dip too far below 3.5v, you won't hurt the battery. If the lipo is pretty new and straight up dropping you out of the sky, it could either be a bad lipo, or some kind of voltage setting in betaflight.

@@nintendude7cubed I tried to figure this out 2 years ago back when I first got it but I haven’t been successful. The only way I get decent flight time ~3 mins is if I run it on 2s. I’m a beginner though so 2 a is a little punchy for indoor to me. When flying 1s the voltage sometimes goes to 2.9 then I have to rearm and once the voltage goes up again. I feel like I can’t hit the throttle on 1s or else it’s crippled.
