I am studying Football Coaching and Performance now. If you want me shouting from the sidelines again, you're welcome to sort me out a driver to get me to games. Otherwise I will struggle to get to games until after the new year.

Those words from Alice should be painted up on the walls of our clubhouse! “We're giving those opportunities to people that wouldn't have them elsewhere”. As someone whose played the game she loves alongside so many wonderful people in a safe inclusive atmosphere those words ring so true.

Alice played a blinder on the pitch and nailed it in the interview too - as she said this CCFC women's team formed before Brentford has achieved so much for women's football not least being largely instrumental in increasing prize money in the FA Cup. It was a great day out for everyone and reminded us all why we are The Clapton.

Incredible individual performance from Ross in midfield, then an inspired formation change to 4-2-4 by the coaches, where our 2-man midfield was more dynamic than our previous 3-man one. I was consumed by whether we should play a flatter midfield 3 rather than 2-1, or whether we should have got our 10 in support of our wing forwards rather than central. From the subs: Tammy on Top, Suley sublime, Cameron courageous, and the final top corner finish was would have wowed the pundits on match of the day! Plenty to build upon.

So many good moments in the game, RB 2 was superb having grown in confidence over 3 games. Just needed to be a bit more composed in keeping possession and game management. Felt like it was really coming together, despite injuries and not all of our recent starters present. Shows squad strength and ability, development clearly progressing. We can learn from this and come back stronger.

Yeah, best team we've faced this season, but we were never out of the game. Their midfield was difficult to read, I still haven't worked out what formation they were playing but four in the midfield was the only alternative I came up with. Key point - if the ball is on one side of the pitch, then the wing forward on the opposite side shouldn't stick to her wing; get closer to the action areas centrally and we would have had the extra midfielder, at the very least move into a '9' role and stretch the play. Additional point - we need to emphasise the philosophy of possession football. Play it out from the back; we can play it long from any position, and at any point in the game and also, stop throwing the ball away at throw ins. There should be options from outfielders rather than going up the line every single time (throw ins especially). Easy passes retain the ball. Possession controls the game. Let's play OUR football. I'd be more disappointed if we lost 4-0 - we were in the game right to the end - fine margins but also nearly there - we need to learn and turn those draws into victories - Forza Clapton.
