Seriously excellent performance of this. It may become my favorite. The quality of sound and the sensitive technique without losing that momentum in the piece, is superbly executed. You can feel the Beethoven spirit in the playing of this Schubert piece. Lots of Passion ❤

Very nice ending where the middle voices thicken the texture as the melody reaches to a higher tessitura. Nice treatment of the contrabass. Probably my favorite instrument in an orquestra. It provides deep resonance to the harmony that is very satisfying.

San Diego is so fortunate to have musical (and other) arts organizations like Art of Elan, SD Symphony, SD Opera, Mostly Mozart, LJMS (and others) that did not just lie down and give up this year, but still brought inspiration and comfort to so many! A thousand thanks to you all ... and here's hoping that 2021 will develop into a year of recovery for the arts and for society.
