I just pulled my Pumped LS1 outta my 914 Porsche ,and Replaceing it with a 427 Stroker LS, I am running Air Conditioner so it takes up space for the dry sump, until Gary at ARE will build me hi In Pan DrySump the AcuSump is my Hero, so Thank you for showing the Electric way so much Cleaner and simpler 💯🏁💯

I've just been watching so many videos for the Electric, so Thank you for me to see Actually how it works, I don't know why so many people use that hand valve when the Electronic works so Easy-to-use

How fast does that valve close when u turn the engine off? I want to install one of these in my r32 using the same method as you. Also how much psi did u put in as a precharge in the accusump? Thanks

This is soo inferior to dry sump.
@lukebarcinski-judd39044 жыл бұрын
it is also a shit load cheaper and a lot easier to setup. Optimal would be both the accusump AND drysump as you have the ability to prelube the engine in addition to drysump benefits

Luke Barcinski-Judd “pre lubing” would extend engine life by like, not even 1%. Not even worth it.

At the end of the video, why do you turn the valve off while the engine is still running? I'm still trying to figure out how these work
@livewiregto5 жыл бұрын
Heintz Boy Garage he is “trapping” pressurized oil. If the valve was left open. The unit would continue to pressuring the oil through the system until it had no pressure left.
@todd50823 жыл бұрын
Exactly, think of it as a pressurized oil storage tank. If your engine needs oil and oil pressure (depending on the valve used) just flip the switch and u have a pre-oiler. And/or some valves also give the ability to activate when engine oil pressure drops. I.e. hard cornering. Some military aircraft used pre-oilers to keep wear on the camshafts to a minimum.

the accumulator are a good, Idea it could save your expensive engine from destruction if you lose a oil gallery plug or something during a run. I just installed one in my sbc drag car it's cheap insurance.

I have dash 10 oil lines, the change of oil being to high is minimal as the oil is only pushed in when pressure drops, as soon as it recovers it starts refilling the accusump. if you use a a preset valve that dumps oil when pressure drips below a certain value tou need to select a value below the idle pressure in my case below 40psi other wise it will be constantly releasing oil needlessly. might not worry about that on a race car which is never at idle
@littlenismo8 жыл бұрын
the switch is in the engine bay as that's where it fits and to reduce the risk of oil leaking in the boot. it doesn't pressurise the filter as its before the filter.

you would not bother with this if you had a dry sump except maybe for pre oiling a dry sump will be the ultimate in oil control on a track etc.
@jessehasch849310 күн бұрын
Yeah but this system runs about a thousand bucks for all the pieces, whereas a dry sump runs like 5 grand😂 since it does the same job, AND can pre oil, and for a fifth the cost, it's the best bang for buck
@littlenismo8 жыл бұрын
I've not posted replies here for some time so to catch up on questions.... The accumulator uses an air charge to push the oil out. this is set up by pre pressurising the accusump with a compressor. yes oil changes are a pain as you have to clear all the lines though the accusump does help by pushing the oil out for you. There is a non return valve that makes sure that the oil goes into the engine the correct way.

What was your reasoning for putting the switch up in the engine bay? I have mine mounted in the trunk with the EPC valve and a oil filter. - I didn't want the epc up front because it would keep the oil filter pressurized all the time? But i'm kinda mixed having the engine oil pumping all the way to the back.
@TheNismortune9 жыл бұрын
I'm having volume issues so maybe I didn't hear all the details... -Do you use a check Valve in the feed line to divert all oil from the accusump to the engine? -when the sump is drained into the engine, your engine then has 3 extra quarts (plus whatever your hose between accusump and engine hold) until it recharges slowly so you have potential for excessively high oil level during this time? What size of feed hose do you use? Was that the epc valve and solenoid located by the engine? Doesn't it state in the install manual that the epc needs to be located as close to the cylinder as possible as in mounted on it? -what epc pressure range are you running? The smallest one seems like it would be ok when cruising but wouldn't open at WOT if something went wrong but was still above the 25 psi which could allow an engine to fail when you should have more more pressure. Or is it the higher pressure one which means the valve is open when cruising and the 3+ quarts are in your engine? Or do you have it staged off when driving below the rated pressure?

hi there tell me something ...this accusump keeps the pressure high and during the racing time or it is only for the start
@littlenismo10 жыл бұрын
I thought I explained it in the video: the accusump (oil accumulator) detects oil pressure drops and injects oil from a pressurized reservoir. It can do this at start up or during running, ie racing on hard acceleration or cornering. depending how it's set up it can simply smooth the peaks and troughs in oil pressure or it can activate once you are under a preset minimum oil pressure.
