Very good, been searching for 2hrs and the video with 18k likes was rubbish and the one with 50 likes, now 51, was the best. If I am ignorant of my motives (99% of the time) then I am not free. I saw an advert of G Clooney drinking coffee, 3 hrs later I went and got one. I am not conscious that Clooney's video impacted my own. My ignorance does not change the fact that the choice was not free. I only think it is free because I am ignorant of what caused the choice. Choices are caused by a million things outside of my preview. Freedom is an illusion.

We too were at a Waldorf school that was taken over after the George Floyd riots in 2020. What I find so interesting about this whole thing and very curious as to how it was done exactly. How each and every school across the country was taken over at nearly the same time with the same exact formula of woke teachers and small groups of social justice parents inside the schools. Our school when I inquired about the new direction tried to tell me that this anti-racist curriculum was coming as the brainchild of the highschool students. I knew that didn't sound right to me but thats what they tried to tell me. We didn't stick around long to see what happened but still being connected via email alerts from the school, the school philosophy pretty much got flipped on its head and the 98% all white private school student body was now going to teach all those kids that they were racists oppressors. That didn't sound like a healthy environment to me and we went the homeschool route. Being connected to some other Waldorf minded parents on FB. We were hearing the same things was happening all over. Seems to be because of this, I just can't imagine that the whole thing was possibly planned ahead of time and then run from a central location. Conspiracy.....

What you have here is exactly what we saw at our local Waldorf school. We entered the school after the harsh realities of the public school system hit us with our one and only child. Like others we sacrificed financially to get our kid into a school that never imagined as a child myself. It was a childs wonderland IMO. Unfortunately we were coming in right before these massive changes were about to occur. Our school was one of the biggest in the country. That still didn't stop it. Awsna, progressive teachers and a very small group of social justice parents took over our school in 2020. Its still like a bad dream to us and a wound with no closure but we had to leave it behind. We did some homeschooling and then ultimately landed in private Christian schools where we found a home. I still think the Waldorf teaching method was better but not when you are also teaching the 98% white student body, that they are guilty of racism. Thank you for your videos!

As someone who was deeply rooted in esotericism as an agnostic and later a non-Christian theist, but has now repented and returned to Christ: for the love of God, please be very careful with esotericism, New Age spirituality, occultism, and similar practices. These “interpretations” of Christianity - like “Christ consciousness” - are not Christian doctrine. It’s okay if you’re upset that I’m challenging your beliefs, but please, please do your research before practicing anything at all (this applies ALSO to Christianity and all other belief systems). Always stay sceptical and listen to what both sides have to say. I was oppressed by demons for way too long because I practiced these spiritual activities: energy manipulation, OBEs, astral traveling, mental connections, moon energy, thinking pantheism was valid (which sounds like a simple philosophy but ends up worshipping the creation), various Hindu meditations, yoga, anything related to chakras, and especially opening the third eye, and what else not. I once believed that all religions, philosophies, and ideas had a bit of truth, and that the ultimate truth must lie in connecting everything. Boy, was I wrong-this is a very idealistic perspective. Please, for the love of God, do your research. Jesus Christ loves you. You’ve probably heard this a million times, but have you truly understood it? I didn’t until I experienced Him and His Love for myself. When you decide to be a Christian, invite Jesus Christ as your Lord into your life, and you will see for yourself that He is the Living God. He will give you more than you need. Don’t fall into this esoteric rabbit hole; you’ll burn your fingers. If you don’t want to listen to me, listen to Christopher Lee’s warning about the occult and how it can consume you. Or even better, listen to actual testimonies of ex-occultists and ex-esoterics. Think with me for a moment: if there is a Creator, would He make the most important truths so complicated that it’s nearly impossible to find? Wouldn’t that be more than unfair? The truth must be simple and espacially available. Understanding this requires humility. I meet so many brilliant people at university who are smart and intelligent but ultimately lack humility, which ironically blocks them from receiving wisdom. Just because you can hear or read words doesn’t mean you understand them. May God bless you. ✝

They chose their strategy based on their position. I believe if Trump were a current president, he would choose idealism, because nobody would criticize his/her own policy. With regard to worldviews, I believe 4 worldviews idealism, realism, materialism and spiritualism are all equally important. They give people different lens to examine the issues our world currently has.

My child told me her school is teaching witchcraft .. I am pagan don’t practise but there is something sinister going on .. A kid cut my daughter’s hair and the teacher put it in a box! I got my child a bunch of witchy stickers .. one was the All seeing eye .. I had no idea! My daughter who is 6 lit up when she saw it! And told me there is a big on the wall in her music room and they sing to it everyday! And it winks at them .. I’m in Ozand as for paganism that is something I want to one day teach my child on my own! I don’t do spells .. I was born with intuition .. No I don’t like it ! What cemented my feeling that it’s a Pagan school is the fact they are doing nothing for Halloween! Because the pagan witches calendar is different in the southern hemisphere ! And my child has regressed ..

Such a great and simple breakdown for people to ponder the great mind/spirit and philosophy of Rudolph Steiner. Very important topic to present and very hopeful people will see the wisdom Steiners take on the damaging Zionist state…he wasn’t an anti-Semite and anti-Zionism is NOT anti-Semitic. 🙏❤️‍🩹💯

Montana majority voted against gay marriage. Bullock approved gay marriage anyway, but at least churches are not forced to perform gay marriage when they can go to the state courthouse. Democray is majority rule. The majority will never be gay or pedophiles or trans or murderers or rapists, i hope.

This is a great podcast. Here is a brief summary of what stroke me as important: How to develop Moral Intuition to become an ethical individualist. 1. Self awareness 2. Clear rational thinking 3. Getting sensitive to the specifics of each situation. 4. Interconnectedness

So how does free will relate to "AHA" intuition moments?
@scienceoffreedom
@scienceoffreedom 2 ай бұрын
The kind of intuitive insight discussed here is a first cause, in a sense, the origin of an act of will. The action is determined by and originates in the individual's free thinking which is also inspiring enough to empower the will.

This is just moralising about morality though. At the end of the day, no matter how much thinking people do, their moral beliefs always come back to their emotion. They never come to the conclusion that their emotional reaction to the situation is wrong. That aha moment isn't special, it's not some "moral intuition" we have separate to emotion or logic, it's just the feeling of the dots connecting themselves into a satisying picture that resolves the final threads of discomfort or cognitive dissonance we're experiencing from not knowing why we had the emotion we're trying to rationalise - and it's not always correct. You see this often when questioning someone's moral opinion. It can take them three or four tries to figure out why their emotion is as it is - as you defeat one explanation, they return with another one supported by a different set of factual claims and value judgements. Ultimately, morality is just emotions and the stories we tell ourselves about why we feel those emotions.

To understand moral intuition you need to understand pure thinking, or pure reason.

I think your absolutely correct, and also missing the point. The way I see it, this philosophy is about being a good teammate with yourself across time. That involves planning and logic to understand the complexities of the world and make effective decisions (including understanding emotions). It also involves remembering that feelings fluctuate as time passes and as you shift focus from on thing to another. Being a good teammate requires paying attention to your fluctuating bias and keeping in mind the various ways you might assess things if you felt different right now, or if you thought about it in a different way. All harder than it sounds of course. So, yes, in the end its about feelings. But feelings are something you can work with, to an extent. And widening that extent as much as you can is well worth it.

“To what extent are uncivilized peoples capable of becoming civilized? How can a Negro or an utterly barbaric savage become civilized? And in what way ought we to deal with them?” . - Rudolf Steiner, The Occult Significance of Blood, 1906 ............................ I reached out to Christian Schoßau, owner of Weinhandlung Suff in Berlin. He’s explored this topic extensively. In 2000, he put together an independently researched paper detailing the racist elements in Steiner’s works. “It’s important to make clear that Steiner had several racist ideas or perhaps arguments in his oeuvre,” Schoßau says. “When I speak with people who like Steiner a lot, they say, ’He did good things, look at his ideas,’ and that’s always a bit frustrating for me. They admire him so much that they cannot say, ‘Okay, this point and this sentence and this idea were wrong.’” . The conflicting views in Steiner’s works make them even more difficult to analyze. In his 1908 lecture The World, the Earth, and Man, we see his thoughts on hierarchical categories of race, but also his forecast that eventually, race would become obsolete. “In our own epoch, the concept of race will gradually disappear along with all the differences that are relics of earlier times.” And later, ”We can still speak of races but only in the sense that the real concept of races is losing its validity.” Steiner’s defendants are quick to cite lines such as these to clear his name.

Thank you for this presentation. I too, am grateful to you for showcasing Rudolf Steiner’s work. So much depends on which thread of Steiner’s vast compendium of lectures and writings a person is particularly drawn to, as to what becomes important to them. I particularly value his Christology, and would suggest all his work is actually Christ centered, whether he explicitly states so or not. “Not I but the Christ in me,” is an evocation of St. Paul’s, to which Steiner drew particular attention. As a starting point, might focusing one’s mind on this idea of the Christ within help a person gain access to the conceptual realm? His western version of Christian meditation involves finding a verse or phrase that you are particularly attracted to to concentrate upon rather than attempting to empty one’s mind, which is eastern in origin, as you point out in your presentation. Very specifically these phrases, “Not I but the Christ in me”, “Knock and the door will be open unto you, Seek and ye shall find, Ask and it will be given unto you” all suggest that Christ Himself might be the access point, the “source of free thinking” that you refer to. Are the gamma rays just appearing out of thin air in your brain? A materialist would say so. Or, is some benevolent, supernatural, spiritual power providing the access you are seeking, when you humbly ask for it? And, when you seek the higher insight into that which is true “for His sake”, it is even more liberating. The value of the posture of humility and the power of the Holy Spirit combined is impossible to overstate.

Every book i read has at least 1 missing chapter 1 I write as i think about it. The one that i "remember" best and makes me want to get back to the book to improve it . For books like the "metaphors we live by" 1978? are those that I didn't read but was inspired by to write myself. I did get round to read it 4O years later having written much of my own.My low expectations of that book back in the day were confirmed. Regarding the missing chapter discussed here, my expectation of Rudolf Steiner's book was to focus on the very thing that is described here as the import of the missing chapter. How uncanny that is.
