So here’s something nobody asked for, my favourite keys and why I like them! 1. F sharp major/ e flat minor (this is a good time to point out that there is no difference in playing experience between relative modes. god I’m such a nerd) this key is fantastic to play without looking because it mostly uses the black notes, and in this key they naturally form the two pentatonic scales so it’s very good for soloing. 2. C major/ a minor In situations where I don’t need to look up from the piano very much, these keys are excellent for playing really easy chord extensions and arpeggios, basically just stick major sevenths on everything and it sounds like jazz 3. D flat major/ b flat minor. Probably even easier than f sharp to play in but not quite as good for soloing 4. A flat major/ f minor. The first key I started to understand chords in, when I’m trying to work things out by ear I usually picture them in a flat lol All the rest are great too but those are my faves <3

Let's start an argument in the comments, for the algorithm: G major is the best key for singing (if you're a bass singer and a crap guitarist like me anyway)
@karljiksКүн бұрын
i dont know what this means because im just an enjoyer of music not a maker of music so my addition to this argument is that music nerds are nerds

@@brightthembo to be honest- I don’t actually love D from a playing perspective. I like playing in keys that use lots of sharps and flats- like F Sharp major and D flat major because they’re easier to play without looking. I wish I could play guitar tho haha

@@willowmillard What a coincidence, I wish I could play piano 😅 To be real for a mo; I'm so glad I found your channel, you're my 2nd favourite genderqueer musician in the Derby area (after me 😁)

Reframing issues related to being part of any group that doesn't identify as wealthy white men as taking anything away from another group that is also not labeled as wealthy white men is how those wealthy white men get is to fight for crumbs rather than ask for a piece of the pie. I think I will now identify as a wealthy white man and help myself to a slice. And I will grab some more plates, because y'all look hungry too.

When a transphobe comes up to me I sign back to them with a confused look on my face. I’m not deaf. But I know BSL because I struggle to speak sometimes. And since my voice would out me, it’s safer to not speak. So they think I’m deaf and often just get really defensive and confused. And instead of going to try and shout at me and attack me, they just leave. Turns out, if someone thinks you can’t understand them, they will give up on insulting you. Because their intention wasn’t to protect people. It wasn’t to protect women’s spaces. It was to hurt me. I would recommend learning sign language if you struggle with voice training. It’s a good safety mechanism in my personal experience.
@silverozeanmoonКүн бұрын
I've actually already been trying to learn sign language since quite a while already, but i struggle finding ways to learn it that aren't paid courses (of course nothing wrong with paid courses but i cant afford that at the moment) Do you happen to know any good source to learn from?
@yusaki8064Күн бұрын
@ I am on low income, the Royal Association of the Deaf has courses paid for by the King if you qualify and are in the Greater London area. In my class there were 2 non-binary people. So it’s very inclusive. There may be something in your area that could help pay for it.
