I bought the steiner cinder thermal optic. I think it may have been their first model or something, that thing had unreal clarity as far as the picture went, the reticle though would cover a beach ball at 100 yards, just a huge blob. It took one single 18650, it was cool for about a week until the entire optical eyepiece, glass housing and everything popped out and fell in the dirt. Got it cleaned upand shoved back in, then it would only turn on once if you started with a full battery if you turned it on for 30 mins and turned it off it would not power back on. It got sent back and I paid the difference for a new s35 nighthunter. Once again amazing picture. Having two 18650 battery’s helped it out but will still run though 3 sets in a 10 hour hunt. It struggles to download media from the unit to the app. As far as if it stays zeroed though different magnifications, I have no clue. I can’t stand the rubber cap that covers the sensor. Useful literature for the thing is impossible to come by. I don’t like the recoil restrictions but luckily I use it a long heavy aR. I’d love to have the newest one they just came out with to see if they’ve listened to any customer complaints yet.

I went with MP700 powder. It’s a bulk powder. Similar to Accurate Magpro. Extremely affordable.It’s a ball powder. So it’s dirty. But burns cooler. I own GLFA 300M. Going to pick up a Garmin Chrono next. Right now I’m happy with the load l developed.

I am experiencing similar results with my Wilson Combat ( 18" barrel, WC Whisper suppressor ) and Dura Mag. I have a suspicion the suppressor as well as Hornady powder are the prime suspects. After 20 rounds suppressed the bcg is nasty and the cartridges won't feed. I can load one cartridge and iy has no problem feeding. Clean it up and it works fine.

Do you keep the auto low light setting on or shut it off?

Bought MP 700 powder for mine. Eight pounds. Ball powder burns cooler than stick. Plus it is a bulk powder and is extremely affordable. Also found a deal on 185 grain Berger VLD bullets. Picked up a thousand. Can’t wait to work up a load.

Got a barrel, and new bolt when the ARC first came out. Couldn't get it to run for anything. Put it in the corner for a couple of years until I was watching one of Johnny's Reloading videos on the Grendel. He was having the same problem, not extracting, or feeding. The Grendel, and ARC share the same bolt face. The problem ended up being the extractor was too aggressive, and actually camming on the brass, and not allowing the ejector to sling the brass out when it cleared the barrel. Grinding it a hair, and polished the extractor until the brass would break free while hand cycling. My bolt is an JP. Been super reliably after the mod. Love the round. Spent last week end in OK at the Fouled Bore slapping steel at 1K with no problems what so ever.

I purchased one of these and have had issues. When I try to switch to photo mode in a low light environment, the picture goes dark in night mode. I sent it back and they supposedly sent me another but it does the same thing. I don't believe the picture should change because of the mode it is in. I can get it to work in night mode in photo mode by turning it off in Photo mode then turning it back on. Can you please tell me if this is an issue for all 4K max sights, or I keep getting a bad batch. They may have sent me back the same scope in the exchange.

Seems like a issue with the asc mag. Not the ammo.

I am a Ole School Iron Sights Worshpper that has just started getting into scopes & optics. I fought it for decades but after a few Eye exams, I have accepted my ass is getting old lol. question sir! On my Sightmark Wraith from sporting store. I bought a new Ruger Mini 14 and had them mount the scope on it using the Wraith matching base, where you just flip the 4 levers on , nice. He said he bored sighted it (I have not called him yet) But when I got it home, all I can see is my eyeball looking back art me! But I have not put the 2 batteries in for the IR yet (I have for the recorder part) I see people on youtube sighting it in in daylight. DO I GOTTA PUT IR BATTERIES IN TO DO THE ONE SHOT SIGHT IN , and quit seeing my eyeball! I did the one shot with my Thor but at dark using a hot pocket on paper on a tree

My target that he's looking at was just white or daylight there was no red no color everything was just white objects

i have a few hickups out of 300 ish rounds with mine its extrating at like the 2 oclock position put a heavy buffer weight in helped some next gonna get a sprinco orange spring whitch is there heaviest spring my hiccups seem to it being so over gassed the bolt is moving to fast to let the empty cartridge extract

was the 2x16 or 4x32 scope

Odin works and proof research barrels, both had real problems to start with on 6mm arc.

I believe the reticle moving during zeroing is a feature which allows you to have the different ranges set at different zeroes. To match bullet drop at distance. For example, 400yards is my 8x setting. I just picked this optic up at an absolute steal.
