Hi i got mine today and i took it apart. I was surprised the bolts werd imperial thread and not metric ones on an east-german vise. I hope it will look as nice as yours when restaured.

This was not a restoration. It was a cover-up. You did not even clean and seal the old wood. Just build a new chest and call it good. I did like the look of the base and the chest, but I was looking for a restoral here.

Such a mess! You had a pure beauty from the past, full of charm but what did you do!!!! you just killed this very old sharpener! Pfff, please avoid "restoring" memories from the past as much as you can...

He bought it, that means he gets to do whatever he wants to it, and if he wants to restore it and make it look good that's this choice not yours, if you bought one you can keep it as shitty as you want, simple as that

Unfortunately there is a mistake in the decal on the dust container. Toni’s supposed to be „roten Löcher“ not „roten Lëcher“ the „ë“ does not exist in German. It means „every week a drop of oil into the red holes and wipe clean“ BTW…😊

Hi, Really nice joB. Some time ago you restored a jupiter pencil sharpener and you made awesome new decals. I am working or repairing and refurbishment of 2 units of Jupiter 2. May it be possible that you share your decal designs please so I can use them? Thanks a million and regards!

Didn't want to destroy the charm, but you did. Another antique destroyed in the name of "renovation". Thumbs down for this.

I was inspired to do a similar restoration. Mostly duplicating his efforts. It came out beautifully, and my wife was thrilled to receive it. Lots of smiles. Just wanted to mention this so your head might explode.

The only place that I have ever seen one of these is in the tv show gunsmoke. If that’s a real 1880’s coffee grinder that thing has to be at least 140 years old.

Good restoration. I was hoping you would use gun bluing on the strapping and hardware. Not only does it add a level of anti-corrosion, but it just adds to the antiquing look.
