I am a new seller who just launched my first product and started running SP ppc ad two days ago. In two days, I got 50 impressions and 1 click. Is that normal for first couple days? Should the impressions be much higher? I am only running auto campaign. Second question is, in your video the suggested bid amount seems crazy low. My suggested bid amount is almost always above $1. I am bidding about $0.75 for auto campaign, but the suggested bid price for me is like $1.10 Do I need to raise my bid to bring up the impression numbers? Or is the first week the period for amazon to index my product and so the exposure is low and this type of impression count is normal? Need some help your advice would be appreciated.

By issue is what is the impact on if a target is running at lets say 60% and the bid is $2.00. If RPC says that it needs to be $2.50 and you are not getting your target ACoS at the lower bid does it still work? I agree with market impact being a variable and how to deal with that.

I think sometimes you got to go down the rabbit hole to get a more simplified view on it. In a perfect world, I think RPC is indeed king, but because targets behave differently at different levels (broad match targeting a different set of search terms based on competitiveness for example, placement locations, etc.) a "substantial" change in the bid amount (using RPC method) could alter the behavior of the target itself and thus make your RPC calculation less effective. RPC assumes that targets will behave the same when adjusting the bid, which is not the case. I think the same people who strictly go by RPC are the same people who originally thought a pure search term isolation strategy was the way to go (statistically makes sense, but Amazon is a little bit of a Pandora's box), which most agree is not the way to go these days. Lol
