Why does this Kei Truck feels more aggressively American than a normal oversized big truck. BTW I just obtained a 1997 Honda Acty Van. 4WD 5 Speed Manual and I love this thing to death. I am planning to put some slightly bigger wheels on her soon. She's a head turner around here in South Carolina

Thx! It’s the standard hydraulic dump with a custom stainless steel liner riveted onto it

Hey, safe range is probably 30-40 mpg depending on 2wd/4wd setup and how you drive it 🤙🏼

a little bit of everywhere, sorry i can't be more specific. those are actually ATV rims with adapters on the truck with Rhox tires. (off road only) the street rim tire set are sourced from eBay and then put together. careful using golf cart tires though most people don't realize they are only made for 25mph

That is one BAMF Acty Attack! I'm not generally a fan of a trailer hitch on a kei truck given the 660 cc engine but towing a log splitter to the logs is a definite exception. I had a 128 acre piece of wooded property and planned to build a house in the middle of the flat 25 acres on top. A 4WD kei truck would be ideal for driving the logging roads and bringing back firewood. There isn't much wasted space on a kei truck bur there's a large space under the bed and around the frame. I considered mounting some LiFePO4 batteries up there that trickle charged off the alternator that would be available to operate a large inverter to make enough 120 VAC for an afternoon of work, whether that was running my Poulan electric chain saw, or a chop saw or circular saw or hammer drill at a job site. It'd also be great to power a small homemade drop-in camper for the truck bed that could also be a mobile SHTF comms truck with my ham radio gear. 🙂

@@joesminitrucks - I created a Hijet Hijinks channel several months ago. I've been recording video of my maintenance, repairs and upgrades but I haven't edited and uploaded any videos. Hopefully soon. My Hijet upgrades stalled the last couple of months. I went from "it's too cold and I'll do the Hijet upgrades this spring and summer" to "It's too hot so I'll pick back up on the Hijet upgrades this fall." :-/ I'm enjoying driving the Hijet, even though there are many upgrades still on my Hijet To Do list.
