What blows my mind, is how fast they got 34 reopened. Sure parts of it where still gravel. But the road was open by November if I remember. I live in Cheyenne, and a week before this all happened. I was in Estes Park fore the Scottish Festival. I cant even imagine how much worse it would have been for Estes, to have 30,000 festival goers trapped. In 2017 I rode my bike down 34, and there was still work going on. The road was moved in some places. It will happen again, thats just how things go, when you live near a river, in a canyon.

how is the wind noise during high speed cruising after install the pop top?
@dsw4x4Күн бұрын
It is not bad a all. Between the insulation and wall fabric of the pop top, it is pretty close to a stock road noise level. The exception to that is if you add a fan to the top, it is a bit louder but totally doable.

You're going to "invest" 3 to 4 times the cost of a Ford factory replacement V10 long-block "crate motor" doing a "Godzilla swap" with a junkyard engine OR $7500 "crate motor" from "Ford Performance" in a "truck" that isn't worth $5000 now "blue book" and will have ZERO "book value" with an "upgraded" Godzilla "swap"? That's funny shit.

Our pop tops provide a lot more room to a van. The concept has a bigger impact when you see it in person. If you are in the area and want to see what they are like, we will have a van at the Adventure Van Expo this weekend (7/27-7/28) in Evergreen, CO.

@dsw4x43 ай бұрын
Check out our video called "Colorado Campervan Poptop Functionality". The gist is that it is powered and uses actuators. Takes about a min or so to go up or down. Another helpful video to check out might be "What to look for in a pop top".

Why not link in your video for the purchase of the awning 😮
Wow that’s awesome! One day I want to do this and travel by myself! My main concern for myself would be adding a roof top for extra room to sleep, like yourself. But also to swap out the under carriage (suspension, wheels, struts, etc) for more off roading rides and to hold the extra added weight inside of the vehicle! I look forward to seeing more!

Avoid the Sprinter. The ProMaster is really a re-badged FIAT Ducato, which should scare anyone. The basic design is over 30 years old and wasn't very good in the first place. The only choice is the Transit. Any shop can work on it, and it's now offered in a 4WD version. Gas is the way to go because nobody has figured out how to create a trouble-free DEF system. Before you jump on me, I worked many years for a company with one of the world's largest Sprinter fleets and I've been driving Class 8 diesel trucks for over 35 years. ALL brands of diesels with DEF are a problem.

I had fiat ducato 1998y. I bought it in 2015. Never had any problems. Russian winters are not your fucking falls. FWD with studded wheels. You can't drive in those conditions. You all are a gasket between the steering wheel and seat. Shut a fuck up.

The size of the cut out depends on the roof of the van. Some are wider than others. Each customer also provides input based on their needs between the cut out range available.

You hang a shower curtain from the hooks on the ceiling and it all drains into the base without getting the rest of the van wet. We just didn't show that part.

The conclusion I’ve come to is this promaster: drive train could take a shit at any moment but my favorite looking. Transit: leaks way to much from the roof and into the electrics under the windshield for a brand new 40k+ vehicle but has a better drive train Mercedes: will cost more to fix and cost more to buy so out of my realm of possibility. But should be pretty reliable and diesel is cool to me
