Like how did they add detailing on the headlights for these but miss them out on most other cars? Is this anything special or different?

@@brandon15511 first edition car. They mostly do headlight details for the initial release but will most likely loose it for future realese in favor for some goofy deco😅

Each Mainline gets 3 sides worth of tampo. In the case of this Mustang Dark Horse, it's the front, rear and top sides. Not all First Edition castings receive front and rear tampos, like the 2010 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Super Snake, where it has left & right and top side tampos.

@ You’re correct. As long as they follow their 3 sides of tampo. When they made their 2018 Mustang GT, they damn sure add those unnecessary hood and side stripes to avoid front and rear details so it won’t take the spotlight against their precious jdms and exotics lol. They did this with the Camaro as well. Glad they did good on this Dark Horse, GTD is next.

They're not identical. Matchbox is wider and a touch longer than HotWheels. In measuring, Matchbox is true 1:64 based on length.

how are the size of these relative to hot wheels? smaller? bigger? same exact size?

Similar or slightly smaller. I would say 1:66ish scale. Hot wheels are inconsistent. Some of their castings are either 1:59, 1:61, 1:62, 1:64, 1:66, 1:68 or 1:70.
