It is a technique that can work, whoever wants to try it will have to do it as fast as possible until they beat the speed as well, I think it is a stick but a very dangerous machete if not.

First rules of machete offense is to not let any part of your body get ahead of your blade, your partners leg is sticking out. This is unsound offense. My machete has a very sharp point so my first offense is not an overhand chop. An overhand attack would be used as a feint, and the attack would either be a lateral slash or straight thrust, either of which would be fatal! Best defense is run or pull a pistol!

I saw the thumbnail and instantly knew this entire thing would be bullshit. If you ever see somebody somehow slip an attack and get past the blade of a weapon, it's wrong. It's just wrong. You cannot dodge weapons like how garret dodges swords in theif 4.

I live in a country (Madagascar) where machette attacks are daily .Every night at 100m from my home,armed people are here to rob the tourists and if you try to counter attack unarmed,you are dead,even.with a 10th dan black belt in Bullshido krav maga

Correct. This stuff is completely unrealistic. I’m a fencer,… without a good counter weapon, there’s absolutely NO CHANCE to defend oneself from a large bladed weapon.

Is long range. Why don’t you kick
@coloradokravmagaonline5166
@coloradokravmagaonline5166 Жыл бұрын
A kick might be possible if you time it well. But in most cases the arm reach + the length of the machete is still longer than the defenders leg, so unless you can kick the attacker BEFORE their downward striking momentum is built up, you might still get hit by it.
@stevemanning8411
@stevemanning8411 Жыл бұрын
The grab was executed incorrectly, obviously on purpose. Twist the gun away from the attacker's center so that the trigger guard forces the finger back. Done properly, you can break the finger or even rip the f***er off.

I have a good hook. A crap cross and a hard straight. I think I have heavy hands. It’s weird I don’t punch fast but there’s force going thru it but to look at my straight punch it would look slow. And my hook it feels like somethings winding up in my bicep and then I can explode it out fast. Not sure what it is I have lol

If this is from an army, then it's martial to begin with which makes me think that even though you advertise and "classify" it as self defense, it will inherit the laws that work against it as all martial arts/methods have working against the advanced training. I hope for an honest response explaining this detail. Those laws contradict the original self defense laws, they are revisions and they will lead to incarceration. Self defense is never a crime. Does the advanced ranks of Krav Maga require the registration that cancels the student's right to defend themselves? If the response is unclear, it's obvious that it's not truly self defense but martial in nature.
@ColoradoKravMaga
@ColoradoKravMaga Жыл бұрын
Although your question/statement is relatively unclear, I'll attempt to explain what I think you're getting at. The system is the system. Whether it's Krav Maga, Boxing, Karate, whatever. When you bring up the legality of self defense into it you have to look at context and intent when techniques were used and to what level of force it was applied. This is true for ANY force used against someone else. The system isn't at question, it's if your use of force was "objectively reasonable" and the amount of force was believed necessary at the time. We teach the system of Krav Maga FOR self defense. It WAS developed for the military (martial) initially and adapted for civilian use in self-defense situations. I hope that clears things up for the casual reader. I also have no idea what you're asking about higher ranks having to register..???
@erikdahl81
@erikdahl81 Жыл бұрын
@@ColoradoKravMaga We also use martial arts for self defense. We can reach advanced levels of the training without having to register our limbs as if they were firearms. The difference is that the School of Shaolin is a SCHOOL of self defense, not a dojo. When one is registered this way and successfully defends themselves unarmed against armed assailants, they still suffer incarceration. This should not be in our laws, since self defense is never a crime. These revisions contradict self defense.
@ColoradoKravMaga
@ColoradoKravMaga Жыл бұрын
@Erik Dahl no one is registering their limbs as weapons. Anywhere. Ever. I don't know the laws where you live (I don't know where you live), but if you get prosecuted for straight up self defense that sucks and you should move. None of this has anything to do with our Krav Maga self defense training so this is the end of this thread.
