I grew up surfing in CA in the late 60's and early 70's and Santana's music fit right into the surf culture of the time there (and in Hawaii) with a number of their songs being found in the best surf movies of the day.

During the seventies this album by Lou Reed Rock'n Roll Animal was played everywhere, especially the intro which goes into sweet Jane. Saw this band at Massey Hall in Toronto, while watching we also saw Alice Cooper watching.
