Walter Mondale's biggest problem was that he was too honest. He told America what they DIDN'T want to hear, that he was going to raise taxes. I'd like to believe that (most) politicians don't want to raise taxes , because they understand the importance of Americans needing/wanting to save money, but on the other hand, they realize they have to raise taxes to pay for the things that Americans want to do in this country

This speech was given at 3:00 am. Most of America was sleeping through it. Because of the poor planning by the DNC in allowing a “prime time speech” to be given at an ungodly hour, George McGovern was already beaten in his Presidential quest. Dumping Tom Eagleton did not help either, after having supported him “1000 %.”

The Republican National Convention is coming in over 2 months, and Trump is about to join Nixon, as the only Republican Presidents to accept their respective nominations 3 times, although Trump is in a different situation, because he'll have been the nominee 3 times IN A ROW. Right now, the event is indeed in July, however, the verdict of Trump's Hush Money hoax will be in June, literally a month before the event actually takes place. And I don't think it's a coincidence, because clearly, this is what the Democrats want, they want to stop him from even reaching the National Convention to accept his 3rd straight nomination. Who knows what will happen in these next 3 months?

Your picture is incongruous with your beliefs. Better to be a born again Christian. 1 Timothy 2:5 “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;” Luke 1:46-47 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, 47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 1 Corinthians 10:4 “And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.” 1 Samuel 2:2 “There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God. Mark 7:7. “Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” 2 Timothy 2:15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

4:12, What President Truman said in 1948 is still true today in 2024. And the "polls" were wrong in 1948 as President Truman was reelected. The same thing will happen in 2024 as President Biden will be reelected💯

If Nixon had been elected in 1960, it would have been a "kindler, gentler" third Eisenhower administration, like when Bush Senior took over after Reagan. But, if he won in '60, he wouldn't have run and lost the California Governor's race in '62 and had his "last press conference", so he wouldn't have become so embittered which led to Watergate. John Kennedy wouldn't have been killed in Dallas. Goldwater wouldn't have run in '64 against an incumbent Republican President, and Reagan wouldn't have gotten his national launch for making his big final speech for Goldwater. In the end, 1964 might have turned out to be a Kennedy-Nixon rematch.

His speech was very short on specifics. There was no mention of the economy and he spoke briefly of the war in Vietnam.
