tnx , very helpfull for my 1st test of Quisk. One question in case you know. My SDR is a Pavel Denim compatible for HPSDR. I have a choice when I have to choose radio , Hermes or Red Pitaya , , I have chosen Hermes , is it OK?

I am a little confused ,when you assemble the Hermes can you set all through thetis beta 1 or 2 and you go in the air or is necessary first go with quisk first .Thanks for videos is a helping a lot

Great info. BUT, the latest version of Quist is 4.2.23 and it seems to be missing a LOT of the things you are showing. Many are the things I wanted to configure and can't. If you have the install file for your older version, that would be great if you shared it. Or, give me some clue on what I did wrong. AI7R (also note that I usually figure it out right after asking - hence, another reason I ask)

Do you also set (in the Hermes Ctl tab) the TX Pins as you did in the RX pins?

What a ridiculous video. Which 3 pins? Which pins connect where? If you are going to go to the trouble of making a video, at least explain yourself or provide a schematic. DUMB DUMB DUMB.

If only it were that simple. Just downloading the Quartus software is a nightmare and despite trying 3 times I finished up with a full version not the lite verson, Registering is also a nightmare. When the sofware finally loaded it could not find the Blaster and demanded the Server name and password whatever that is. It also crashed Windows stating a corrupt PFN module. A day wasted and nothing acheived. g3tso

What static ip do I set if I'm not using a hub ... direct connection

Do you know of any consumer gear that has the required chipset (AD9866?) to run Hermes Lite 2.0 for SDR? For example, cracking open my Motorola MB7220 Cable Modem DOCSIS 3.0, doesn't seem to have the AD Chip.. it has a Broadcom BCM3383D. What about an old router (Linksys e1200)? I have a BeMicro SDK, but hoping to run 2.0 instead of 1.x!

in the Options tab: Enable "Hermes Step Attenuator" (o i c you went back to that at the end of the video)

Note that if you are still running 32 bit windows you will need Quartus 13.1. As far as I can tell all later versions are x64 only.

The Static IP field is not a place to set the IP if your HL2 firmware has a static IP. Instead, it is an alternate way to assign the HL2 an IP which may not be fully supported in the firmware.
