People don't realize it.. You can literally go to home Depot right now and for less than 100 bucks you can get everything you need to safely pull yourself up basically anything you can get a rope to stay stationary in relation to and you will be perfectly safe I have done things that people would consider wildly unsafe using carabiners and rope from home Depot I did it by myself, (I actually used to do roof decking on houses and there was a two-story house that I didn't really have a good way of getting off of the top of and I literally did the "Kamikaze knot" thing and rappelled down, admittedly more for entertainment and basically to feel alive than anything did it on a DR Horton job too (normally what you would do is leave one bay of the roof open so basically one 4-ft wide strip of plywood between two trusses and then you would nail a piece of plywood to 2x4 "scabs" that would then be nailed to the trusses after you got inside of the roof but i had to get the underlayment done too and I didn't see an OSHA person)but if you start trying to climb a mountain with a group of people the weight of you all of those people and all of your equipment and all of the rope that's hanging off of it and everything comes into play. It is a very very easy thing once you understand how ropes work to move one person up and down mountaineering is a very very easy thing if all you're worried about doing is moving your own body weight from one place to another The vast majority people can go their whole lives repelling on 550 cord and even ascending on 550 cord with no problem but the day they bring a slightly heavier backpack or think hey this rope has been working for me for years It's solid as a rock I trusted it for 20 years and it never let me down well it won't let my buddy down either so let's climb it.... As stupid as it sounds here and now that's the kind of stuff that happens people lose track of things

@@ROGERWALDMAN can you tell me the exact types of screws so I can go buy them? I'm not really familiar with the names and details of screws. I'm considering just buying a universal mount on Amazon if I can't figure this one out.
