I'm new to editing and videography myself. I was wondering how he got the effect of silhouetting an animated object in after effects. I'm still learning the ropes and can't seem to find any videos on the subject. Any pointers would be a great help!

@@AdventVFX So in the loading screen that was made, there was a silhouette of Falcon running with a glow behind it. I think since I made the comment I found out that it was by using the roto brush in after effects to select and potentially cut out a moving object. Do I have the right idea or is it a little different? I'd love to see what you use for reference/any playlist you might have that you use to learn from. I'm in the process of really learning after effects myself. Unfortunately college didn't get me as fluent in it as I'd like.

moobesor, i want to make a big thankyou for this, and relentless 2, let me elaborate: I was in a really intricate point in my life, risking failing college at 2 continuous terms, where if i failed 1 out of 5 subjects i could be kicked out, i was kinda devastated you know? i wasnt finding my ground and i could hardly even focus on things that i didnt even care. So i started using aradix every day and spending close to 8-10 hours daily on the library. and by daily i mean monday to sunday. There were only 2 songs that i listened repeatadly over that period and was this and relentless flow 2. Idk what these songs have, but pump the shit out of me, so i would spend 8-10 hours daily listening this. Out of those 5 subjects i failed the easy pass and went to finals on them all. I was really depressed, something completely new for me, feelings that i never felt before. i've never felt worthless but those feelings worsen by the day. Never the less i did not surrender and kept pushing as hard as i could, i passed every exam, and man i really suprised my self, out of those 5 subjects, there was one that me and other 15 people went to finals, and i was the only one that passed it, with an almost perfect score. Now a couple of years later im struggling to discipline myself and came back to this. They say is all about repetition, and just listening to this songs remind me of that hell, and let me easily focus. Moobesor and Salty scrub, thanks for being there for me.. i really appreciate you and your work, you helped me out of that rabbit hole and i'll never forget that.
