Hi,l read a lot of comments from young people who are discovering this amazing series now. If you can try to watch it from someone who converted the original dvds to files,because on streaming services the original soundtrack is butchered, and the show loses a lot. One of the ways in which it was groundbreaking was using music as an integral part of the storytelling. Anyway it's great that you're watching it,Queer as folk was unbelievably bold at the time, and it doesn't get the recognition it deserves. Also the original British series is great ❤

This is our dynamic duo Mikey and Brian song. There friendship is actual highlight of the show for me. The way this show started with appearance of Mikey and Brian in Babylon and ended with same shows no matter what they always will be there for each other even though there are partners are different.😊

This is a song written and performed by Leonard Cohen back in 1984. And yes he mentions the city Babylon. I believe they chose it for this one particular line. What a beautiful series.

When did you watch it? Because they had to change a lot of the music for streaming. Idk why :( this plays at end of ep 2x09 when Michael & Ben have sex for the first time then it transitions to Babylon. The streaming version tried to come close to this but it was still changed :/ To hear the original music you have to have the dvds or find old uploads on KZbin

I loved this song the first time I heard Rough Trade performing at sleazy club I can't remember, somewhere in Toronto in the early 80's. I couldn't watch the series, it resembled my life way too much when I was 17, and a lot of my friends noticed the coincidental resemblance. I was Justine and Brian was my Murray, I won't say his last name, his family is well known in Canada. I finally did watch the series recently, but my relationship didn't end the say way Justine and Brian's did. But that's life!
