FYI the Lost Sierra is an actual location in Plumas County CA. You should rename your video. You aren't riding in the actual lost sierra

How much weight did the fox shocks and Tom’s kit save over stock on the freeride?
@LetsrideadventuresАй бұрын
I’m not sure…. Tom’s would know tho!
@Ride4life311Ай бұрын
I put Tom‘s kit on my freeride 850 and total weight savings is about 4 pounds but the ski weight savings on deadweight was more. Tom explains it better than I could ever try to. he’s more than willing to tell you just give him a call. One of the best suspension guys in the business IMO

Was this your main sled? Or do you have a 154 top?

I also have a 154, but only rode it 300 miles this past season, and put over 1,700 on yge 146!

Did you setup your 24 Freeride with the Toms torsion delete and floats? If so did you like it over the KYB 40s? How weight did it save front and rear?
@Letsrideadventures14 күн бұрын
yes, Ive been running the toms suspension kit since 2013. I have never done a weight comparison, but I like the fox air shocks and their adjustability much better than the KYB's

For a beginner/ average idaho mountain rider what track langth do you recommend, 154 or 165? Riding a 154 arctic cat m8000 mountain cat right now, seems real hard to rider, but i think most of that is due to the mono rail.

way to go with post vid discussion regarding avy potential. Keeping it fresh in the fore front of everyone's mind is key. how long did your wrap take you? haven't done my g5 yet but thinking about it.

Love the idea about the avalanche training. I’ve lost two very close friends the last few years in slides. It want because they aren’t good riders or aren’t careful, it’s because it can happen to anyone no matter your riding ability. Since we have all gone through our avalanche certifications and have so much more confidence on the mountain now and just as a backcountry rider in general. They tech you some many great things about reading terrain and snow conditions along with of course the rescue portion. I find myself analyzing the conditions and terrain constantly now. Great idea. In addition, we will have a adjustable temp, headed, carbon fiber composite brake lever soon so watch for that. Thanks for sharing!

What a rad ride. I’m a flat lander that enjoys playing in the deep stuff, but I always chicken out at a chance out west because the difference of what I think I can do vs what I’ll likely do are so far apart 🤣

So I'm a Polaris guy and was mocking the SHIT out of the Gen5 when they came out. And while I still feel the headlights are a little goofy looking, I have to admit that the engineering behind the Gen5 is pretty damn impressive. I still don't care for the brake and chain case being down by your feet, and the belt storage behind the seat is a little weird, but that sled is DAMN impressive and I'm srsly questioning their claim of "180 hp." It looks more like 190+ lol
@mv33802 жыл бұрын
Saw a gen5 summit at the dealer the other day. I was expecting it to be as terrible as the pictures. In person it actually looks decent. Was quite surprised by that as well as how narrow it is. Looks like it will be super easy to ride in tight areas.

480 mains , it’s cold here , -20F , let’s ride , wind chill only gets to -49 than slows down , railroad grade , maybe , 25 /37 gearing the year , would like the extra 8 mph , and maybe a half gallon a mile better mpg
