This car was advertised as a track car. However, it overheats even in stock form. You'd need several mods to extend the time on track. The good news is its relatively low price point. This allows many people to jump into the community. This community leads to many areas, including how to solve this issue without official Honda support. They should have made a V mount to deal with cooling and figure out how to fit the AC condenser elsewhere. Im sure Honda has enough money for that.

as much as i love my fl5 they could have given it a better factory exhaust also +R is unusable unless you swap out the stock damper module for the integra type s one

Why unusable? Lots of people stuck with R mode whole day whole night without changing the damper module. Agreed with exhaust

@@xThundersZ the car is overdampened to the point it is skittish and bounces everywhere even on a racetrack. multiple people, including the likes of Gears and Gasoline, and even DK himself have complained about the bounciness on stock ADS. they were setting faster laptimes with the suspension set to sport or comfort. driving on NY roads with my car it felt like a pogostick. the integra type s module makes the ride much more compliant and honestly helps driving over bumps on the backroads better too

Hahaha, you just don't know what the car was made for goofball...as much as Honda wants you to believe it's a daily..it's a little track monster...I drive only in +R mode........and nobody has sat in any other of my seats....😅😅😅😅😅

There is no reason to replace the JB4 and to spend a gazillion. JB4 held its ground with a stock turbo. Boost the JB4 for 4 more pounds and it can compete against Ktuner + pure Turbo.

Make sure your tires are super balanced. It will be faster.. Plus if you have a different paint color... Gotham Gray is much faster.

It's actually cool how the TLX Type S has a similar tone to the NSX's exhaust, it's a bit more bassy and not as sharp as agressive as the NSX, but it makes the right noises.

Does the cat back require a tune to be installed? Also how much is the catback? I can only find pricing for full system with headers.

No time required for catback. I think full system is 14k, however you can get the catback for around $8k. Mod In Japan has them available.

Two dynos cannot be directly compared because they are done at different dyno systems, temperatures, altitude etc. If you look at the straight line tested numbers, the GSF traps about 4 - 5 mph higher in the 1/4 mile meaning, it is significantly quicker stock for stock.

4-5 mph higher? That's not happening. Q50 red sport traps at 110 on terrible stock ties. with a good set of tires they trap as high as 112-113. No shot a stock gsf is trapping 117-118. It ain't happening. Stock for stock would be a great race.

@gkb the GSF traps around 112-113...with apparently worse dyno numbers than the RS400. I’ve ran with an RS in my GSF...the RS has zero top end unlike the GSF.

@@gkb stock vs stock, a Q50 red sport would get off the line quicker but if the Gsf gets a good launch he walkin him down in a 1/4 mile, if its a roll the Gsf top end gon show you sum

@@theylive2749I would agree the RS turbos are so small , most of the power is made down low with boost falling off up top.
