That's cute. I knit and I recently started adding crochet thread. Especially for blankets like when the yarn isn't quite the same thickness. But also just to give projects more of a oomph lol I love it

What do you use for the neck of the giraffe you mentioned in the pattern a neck stuffner

The neck strengthener is still there! It's at the top of the pattern before you start the body.

I get confused on how to increase with a hdc after completing your magic circle. Can you explain it more for me please?

For this particular pattern, you will slip stitch to close your HDC magic circle and then chain 1. You'll HDC 2 in the SAME stitch where you slip stitched and that counts as an increase. Question for y’all: does it feel like your needle is too big? The eye of mine gets stuck in the stitches, but if it were any smaller, I could not get the yarn through the eye.

May I suggest that you say how many stiches in each round . Not just HDC increase in each around that can be confusing for beginners

You can always experiment and see how it works up! :) The body is understuffed and super squishy because of the plushy blanket yarn, so it won't have the same effect.
