@@fishonj2319 talica50 or makaira30/50 are great reels. I prefer talica because it’s smoother and more compact but Makaira are really well built

Tom Lombardo wahoo fishing is so intense. Never know what or where they will run too. If you love fishing, love range trips are a must. Atleast once

I went out on the excel last summer for 8 days. First trip in my life doing something like this. Didn’t get a wahoo but got a bluefin, 2 yellow fins, 2 darado, a sheepshead, and 2 yellow tail. Crew totally helps you out if you don’t know what you’re doing. Ate like a king, met great dudes had a blast and going back. Got my reservation already.

Victoria Sweetland with ocean kayaking it’s a whole complete different ball game. Proper gears, forecast, and learning how to self rescue is a must. I recommend getting comfortable with his kayak first, knowing what his limitations are before heading out to the ocean, I seen way too many people jumping straight into the ocean with very little knowledge or proper gears, one small mistake and things can go wrong really quickly, CCK in Sacramento and Oakland does guides and ocean self rescue, I highly recommend giving them a call to see their schedule. alan mangindin nice! The bite was on fire. I got one at 34-35inch(19lbs), and a few smaller, released a few and missed a lot of bites.
