The couple donating might not have fertility issues. We had 3 pregnancies resulting in 3 live births before my husband became infertile. We weren't concerned until we lost our youngest child to cancer. We decided we wanted to use donated sperm and we weren't interested in going through many rounds of IUI. We skipped to IVF seeing as it was covered through my husband's workplace benefits. We had 8 good to excellent embryos and identical twins from our first transfer. We donated the 7 embryos left over.
