Great drummer and seems a good guy , funny he mentions Weller saying learn these Chuck Berry songs and Paul who absolutely despises rock music 😊 I recall an interview of him trashing rnr Elvis and that whole Jimmy Dean thing as a crock of shit ! Jam did make some good pop sounds mind !

My councillor was a woman can't think of her name I wasn't ready at that time and ended up being removed I wonder how life would of been if I had not been imature. A fantastic opportunity i absolutely loved it the whole environment. The peace the trust but as I was young and stupid I didn't realise till it was to late. I now no I am ready

The song "Do it" is actually the opposite of Wally Hope's naive attitude: "I believe our time will come" he says, while the pigs and the doctors walked all over him..
@FitzroviaTV8 жыл бұрын
Wally was certainly naive about the dark forces circling around him. I do think Do It is perfect for the trailer, after choosing that track for the I later read some of Wally's writings where he said Do It by Fairies should be the new national anthem.

strange that he wouldn't talk about the mysterious circumstances surrounding Wally's death because it would spoil the plot of his film.. I guess that's the nature of the medium.. everything subjugated to your agenda..

Wow, am I that old now too??? I bought 'In the City' 45 in suburban Detroit in 1978 and I was hooked. Never got to see them, but The Jam had a tiny cult following in Detroit. A city with a great cool meter than Omaha or Manhattan.
@johnnyriggs10249 жыл бұрын
This is fantastic! I bought the first LP the day it came out in the states, and I continued buying all of them the second they came out. I loved them all, but the first one that utterly connected with my soul was Setting Sons. It was so British, but still completely meaningful and touching for a teenager growing up in a small town in the U.S. Weller had absolutely captured his muse and was channeling it perfectly. The melodies, the lyrics, the song structures. I think it's a perfect album. All Mod Cons was probably the one that convinced me that he was a great songwriter. The first two had great songs on them, but this one was pointedly aimed in a certain direction and it worked. Watching this documentary is taking me back to my teenage years and reminding me how much their talents, their look, and their songs meant to me at the time. Thanks!
