And Zionism came about in the 19th century as a prideful movement, asserting that Jews no longer need cower and be dependent on others for their well-being. They wanted to remain Jews, strong Jews, rather than disappear as communist internationalists or to be "Germans of the Jewish faith".

The ironic part of this is- the SAME GROUP of people in Jackson NJ crying & complaining are responsible for the last 3 decades of OVER DEVELOPING this township.. it used to be all pine trees. Then all of these people came from North NJ, Brooklyn, and Staten Island and built as much as possible. There’s traffic on Hope Chapel Road every afternoon because it’s been poorly planned and too many people moved there. There were several moratoriums in place to keep Jackson rural and it was built up anyway. At this point, it definitely feels like discrimination. If you purchased a home in Jackson in the last forty years you KNOW Lakewood had a huge Jewish community. So these people have an issue with people from the adjoining town moving to their town? OBVIOUS I picked my home in the heart of the Jewish community. I know they have wholesome values and a good culture. I do not have to worry about Hassidic people bringing weapons, violence, drugs or other social issues to my community.
