That's some ability but so few likes is also a lesson to be learned in terms of audience engagement. I witnessed this in Goa India when a very adept British guitarist stepped up to an open mic session and deftly and professionally played an own original instrumental with some very intricate playing and strumming and got well deserved applause but as the organiser of that open mic I learned something valuable when next up was a likeable young couple from Birmingham U.K. who had serious intention to cover a cool Tom Waits song that was however thwarted by both having consumed a bang Lassie prior to getting up on stage and now stoned out of their minds found themselves playing the same song but not at the same time or same lyrics which was hilarious, entertaining and captivating in a quite different way. When they finished (the girl fell off her chair laughing) they received even more applaus than the dude who had just shown true ability and stood quite gutted at the bar unable to comprehend the audience and what had just happened. What had just happened was a beach chilled audience showing that location time and condition can define what is most entertaining which may not be someone sitting seriously, not really engaging with the crowd with no vocals and this not as engaging as an act that does. Just something I learned. The guitar by the way sounds awesome and looks gorgeous too and led to me purchasing a Richwood G70-CEVA. For my purposes it is one helleva guitar that sounds amazing at Open Mics and can take quite a beating (everyone wanting to play it) and the quality up to coping with big climatic swings of temperature and humidity - I love it :o)
