my friend sent me this album not too long ago cause ape escape is one of my fav series and this definitely delivers the vibe, its fantastic! makes me wish for an indie spiritual successor with this as the ost hahaha my favorite title in the og series was the US version of 2 because of the pokemon voice actors, if you havent heard them I highly recommend it! they are hilarious if you were a fan of the pokemon anime the european version which is the one on the psn store has different actors

I'm glad you like the album, and of course glad your friend sent it to you 😙 Since I'm from the UK the PAL voices are the OG for me, but I've heard about the dub for the US version being a wild ride! I'll check it out sometime for sure. 🍓 As for an indie spiritual successor, it would make a ton of money I'm sure! Kinda wild to think Ape Escape has been left behind, it was absolutely on a par with the likes of Crash and Spyro as the 'face' of Playstation in PS1 / PS2 days.

Came here thanks to Daydream Deluxe's video on Vaporbreaks! This is an absolutely sublime listen! Ape Escape is one of my favourite PS1 games ever, half for the gameplay, and half for the soundtrack! Always found something so addictive and fun and immersive about the soundtrack, so it's awesome to see someone taking influence from it and giving it a Vapor touch! Absolutely love this! If this ever gets a physical release, sign me tf up!!!

I think I owe Daydream a pint next time I'm in Australia, his video was awesome 😁 as for physicals, there are CDs available with Business Casual on Bandcamp! I also have some cassettes which I gave out to my Patrons, I'll be dropping the overstock on my own BC page sometime next year. 🎶🍓

That is surprisingly on-the-money! But I actually didn't use any direct song samples for this one, just used a guitar loop from the Cymatics Eternity pack for the riff! It sounds super close though, wondering if they maybe had a bit of Jimmy on rotation when they put their samples together! 😆 Sidepoint but Jimmy Bo Horne slaps in general. 0:52 Ironically, Teto isn't technically wrong, I've recently had a nightmare where I was lost in the woods during nighttime while Teto was stalking me, then she started chasing me, I don't remember what happened after that... and I don't know why I had a nightmare about that drillhead Although aside from this yap session, pretty cool music vid, 8/10

I love Ape Escape to bits. My all time favorite PS1 game (and perhaps game in general) I love the art! It is so Ape Escape while not at the same time for obvious reasons I have to give this a listen because of Ape Escape! (And your other songs slap too of course lol)
