Santon 'George' is a great name, as is Santon Gorgeous 🙂 That hole in the roof of the cave... It looked human sized in the video, would high water provide sufficient depth of water for a jump/drop? 🤔😀 From one dad to another, I love seeing parents spending proper quality time with their children. My lad is 25 now and we still have a very close bond that comes from the time we made for each other when he was younger for swimming, kayaking, gorge walking etc. as well as the land based stuff and activities that he did away from me. We still have the kayak I bought him (us) when he was 7 and he was out on it at the weekend with a group of his friends for their first paddle of the year. Keep up the good work and play. I was smiling throughout the video. Phoebe is coming on nicely and showing good (careful) initiative. Another great video Stephen!

Thank you means so much :) and yes it’s deep I would like to see you jump lol I actually want to go find the hole now on the top side Iv walked passed it loads and didn’t know it was there, it must be fenced off

Great video. Did you need to lock the kayaks to the roof of the car or are they pretty safe?
@bigpondkayaks77313 ай бұрын
I didn’t have a lock but I slept in the car next to a camper that had a dog barking when it heard someone outside :) but I had lots of straps on tight so they would have woke me up also if someone was to tamper with them in the night

What swell direction do you need there because you're blocked off from the Atlantic swells, im in the west of Ireland we get westerly and south west swell mostly

This is truly impressive. Kayaks across to the Isle of Man…to get a new kayak! From all accounts, your Mannta was a major upgrade for Nick from his NDK Expedition (already a very nice boat). High praise from Nick, indeed! You must be very proud. 😊
@bigpondkayaks77316 ай бұрын
Yes definitely proud and I followed him all the way on his trip, I kept in touch with him from time to time, but I didn’t want to try fluster him or make it in to the mannta show, I was just happy he chose one of my kayaks and enjoyed it as much i enjoyed following him
@tommyrq1806 ай бұрын
@@bigpondkayaks7731 I listened to Nick on the US podcast “Paddling the Blue” (December 4, 2023) and he specifically mentioned what a major upgrade it was from the Expedition to your Mannta, how effortless he feels in the kayak, how much room he has for gear, etc. Could not have been a more positive review, which is why I looked up your videos. He has a LOT of kayak time in the sea, so has very highly developed judgment.

That’s one thing we say here on the island that we don’t have trees over hanging the water, I think the vikings took them all to make boats years ago :)

Same as the other two comments, no instructions, but appears to be great value for money ( The label on my sack has £129.99 as starting price!). I bought it in the UK and returned home to France without opening it, It's 1.3mtrs wide (I only wanted a single), and I initially thought the pump was missing, so you've made my day by demo'ing it. PS I was a Slalom / whitewater racer in the old days, good that you're a fellow paddler.
