I always do language arts in the morning. Writing and math between recess and lunch, tech, science, and social sciences after lunch. We get to make our own schedule.

Another great video! I love the idea of switching the pink for coral. Some ideas: If you keep BEST YEAR EVER in black, you can reprint it in one or all of your new color palette and you can use the black letters as a drop shadow. So you would layer colored letters on top of the black BEST YEAR EVER letters and just offset it so that the black letters look like a shadow. And may be spread out the words since you took away the hashtag. I think it would look sharp and eye catching. P.S. your special little helper is ADORABLE!!!!

Just got my first job out of college as a 3rd grade teacher!! I am so so so excited but also very overwhelmed. I was wondering, with all of the books I have bought/been donated, I am feeling STRESSED on making categories for my library... Any tips or tricks for categorizing books? Also, do you have any websites that are great for leveled books??

The yellow is nice you should pin stripe it with the nice pastel pink sort of giving it a starburst candy effect so the kids can feel like there bursting into the new school year ready to learn 😊

I HATE colored pencils in my classroom. Kids spend way to much time sharpening them and breaking them. Crayons are my go to (even as a high school teacher) because even if they get broken in half they can still be used. I dump about two boxes of crayons into mini tubs and have those throughout my classroom depending on what we are doing. And again, if a kid breaks a crayon, I don't care. Also target has them for 50 cents a box around back to school season, so I stock up them.

Happy setup season! Been out of the classroom for a few years, but still love to see all the work educators put into their spaces! I think the yellow is gorgeous (my favorite tbh), but very warm-toned by comparison. I would think about expanding the palette with intermediate shades between the very pastel pink/blue and the very saturated yellow. Maybe let the blue walls shine and replace the board fabric with another color? The black goes well because it's a neutral color which will match with the blue and pink, but the best part is that it ties in the black polka dot fabric beautifully! Congrats on finishing chemotherapy for your husband. As I watched, I relally liked the yellow against the paint on that wall. i would suggest you consider your border with that board as you decide if it works with your color theme. I also noticed that I did not appreciate the pink board asuch. The pink looks very muted or brownish pink against the wall color. If you wanted stand out bold colors, the yellow works. If you wanted tamer more subdued colors as the pink aginst the light wall, you could change the yellow fabric. Again, you may have to consider it with your border to see if it ties in and becomes the look you want. Best of luck and I can't wait to see how it turns out!

The colors remind me of a Ticonderoga pencil with the yellow, pink, silvery blue.

My thought is the yellow is too bright.

I like the yellow as an accent color depending on the rest of your decor. I really like it with your blue wall behind it. Small accents of yellow in other parts of the room would look amazing.

Yellow seems too bright without anything on it. It seems more of a primary color and not a pastel. My best wishes to your husband and family. My mom is 40+ years post colon cancer. I do understand.

I think the yellow is a little bright compared to the other colors. The other three go pretty well together, but the yellow is a little too much. I was trying to think of a way you could mute the yellow a bit and maybe washing it or leaving it in the sun for awhile. I know I had yellow curtains that turned to a pastel after they were up for a bit in the sunshine.

I use crayons for regular use, but keep big buckets of markers and coloring pencils for projects. This helps streamline and also makes the other supplies extra special!

Sorry to hear about your husband. I too am a wife, teacher with a husband who battled stage 4A colon cancer. My kids were 3 and 18 mo when he was first diagnosed. He is going on 4 years cancer free, but spent 10 years battling. Now my kiddos are 11 and 14 . God is good and healed him. Praying all well be well for you and your family too.
