See if there is a relay switch in the starter circuit. A wiring diagram would be helpful. Also don't rely on the new parts being good out of the box, sometimes defective.

Placement of the tool is important to its most effective use. Installing the tire over the arms of the tool was not the best idea.
@bustedstudgarageАй бұрын
Thank you for the comment. Sadly this split rim design pre-dates modern wheels, being from a Model T circa 1915. The tire will not fit over the rim without holding the rim in a compressed state. Thanks for watching!
@mikerussell50526 күн бұрын
@@bustedstudgarage I am very familiar with split rims and the tool. I have a 1926 Model T that I have owned for 58 years. You were mounting the tire over the arms of the tool instead of having the tire on the floor and putting the rim inside with the tool on top. I have performed this operation many times.

So I have a dumb question... why didn't you take the bracket off THEN remove the compressor? I am on here looking for ideas to fabricate a new bracket because I can't live with an empty bracket where the compressor used to be. And I still have to figure something out instead those ugly hardware store kits in place of the air pump?
@bustedstudgarageАй бұрын
Excellent question! One of the bolts holding the compressor in place goes through the bracket so you can't remove the bracket before the compressor. I agree the bracket is ugly. I'm going to either trim it down or fabricate a custom bracket for the tensioner pulley. Likely will be a future video, stay tuned and thanks for watching!

@@bustedstudgarage my uncle (R.I.P) had a Torino and an XL both big block cars. A few cars bought new by family members are still owned by the family today. my grand dads Buick Grand National (v6), as well as his California custom double rear axle van as well as my dad's old Dodge custom van from the 70's, there is a AMX Javelin two Bandit Trans Am's a 70 Hemi Charger (another uncles RIP that I own) the 78 GMC That was my dad's (RIP) I got it and though I bought it from him to build as a tow vehicle it wound up as a barley street legal drag truck best 1/8th time was 6.01 best 1/4 was 9.87, I also have a 73 super charged 400ci Charger and shocking as it might be the 78 GMC is faster. The GMC and 73 charger have been through more engine and trans combos than I care to remember all the other vehicles still retain all their original equipment and all the vehicles are stored in a dark climate controlled underground facility that was once a restoration shop that yet another uncle owns the upper level of the shop is still an operational body shop now run by two of his sons and trust me that gets interesting at times.
