The meat rolling King 👑.. looking forward to part 3. Can you try do a video of you actually rolling it through the swim feeling for bites? Want to try this technique on my local river but it's trickier than it seems, had zero success the few times I've tried it

Amazing, bait this bait that. Good old fashion meat. When experience, location and presentation was the key. Cost of all three that day, a few tins of meat and some plasticine. Bait the biggest Circus in angling. Well done, awesome catch.

thats basically a death rig in the wrong hands whats wrong with you trapping a weight on the line it should be free running or able to just pull off but the way you are rigging up you should get banned from the fishery,then you can spend more time in the gym and tatoo shops

😴 perhaps you should watch the video again, the whole point of power gum is so it slides of easily in the event of line breakage. It’s great that you noticed my physic, makes all the hours in the gym worthwhile, thanks 😁 Enjoy your fishing 🎣
@Last-Crusade
@Last-Crusade Жыл бұрын
once the power gum goes into the water it will harden then tighten on the line it wont pull off like you think then a Barbel could become tethered and may even die,but if your ok with that then carry on.@@JulianBarnes-ge5qi

I think you need to explain why you need the top stop at all. There is always risk in any rig. I think there are safer options than the drilled bullet. At least he is using decent strength line.

Why do you use such a heavy tc rod? A 2.75 rod is only need if fishing in big flood conditions
@JulianBarnes-ge5qi
@JulianBarnes-ge5qi Жыл бұрын
The weir pool I'm fishing is snaggy and had a sill they dive for, the rod I use is a soft action but strong and gets them away from the sill so I don't lose them 😃😃

You shouldn’t fish straight through with 15lb line and in very hot days you think you invented rolling meat you didn’t

Cracking video. Are the waters you are on day tickets ? I’ve never fished the Trent and I’m heading over at the end of July to have a crack at barbel fishing based near gunthorpe. Can you recommend where to try for day time fishing as il be with my three lads. Cheers. Any help would be amazing as I’ve not a clue where to go.

Unfortunately most of the good. Sections are club waters, you will catch on collingham in the day, try the old 90’s and the 50’s

I love fishing the Trent, the only problem with it is you cant fish most of it because most clubs have the best stretches and don't take members or you have to live in the area or go on a waiting list for years.

if your main line breaks the fish tethers a weight float stops dont come off that easy.if the weight gets wedged you will pull through it until it wedges against the hook that could cost you a fish
@JulianBarnes-ge5qi

I use the Drennan float stops, they move up and down quite easily and so far they haven’t cost me a fish 😊

Hi Julian I’m a recent subscriber to your new channel. Like you I mainly fish for barbel on the tidal Trent and Yorkshire rivers. I’ve been on the bait merry go round looking for that miracle boilie and have resorted back to two 8 mm halibut pellets. I may go with your bbb boilies next year. How much do you favour them
