This is a collection of family 8mm film. It was converted to mp4 files on a Wolverine film transfer unit. There is approximately 12 hours of 8mm film. Most of the 8mm film was taken by Steve Fekete (brother of Joe Fekete) during the 1950s and 60s. Some was taken by George Sitkei in the 1970s and 80s. Some of these videos have many minutes at the end where the processing machine hung up and recorded one frame for ten minutes or so. Once in a while the film would unhang and finish, so there may be some video at the end, but that's unusual.
Beginning 1989 the videos are camcorder videos so you will have sound and better quality.

Thank you. Ten years ago I came across a stack of home made wax records my father cut on his piano in 1940 when he was 18. Luckily he heard them before he died.

That’s great. These songs were originally recorded on a home wax record recorder in 1940. They all transferred quite well to digital version.

How Charming,...... I was born in 63 and lived in San Diego for 20 years...... I hope the 'kids' are all healthy and have families of their own ?....regards

Thanks Steve, We took a trip of two to San Diego in the 60's. Since then a few more times. A good friend of mine has lived there for 30 years but is moving to Michigan before California creates an exit tax.
