How can you avoid big bubbles under the foil? I haven't tried this yet, but I think I would pour a little resin into the mold first, and coat the back of the foil before lowering it in. (I'm totally doing two-sided, also.) Then I guess you'd have to carefully coax the foil in and hope for the best. If anyone has some tips for this, let me know!
@Saracopp1976Ай бұрын
@@domilontano there are so many ways you can do it to be honest and it depends on your brand of resin as they all have their quirks! It’s all about trial and error. I use a lot of isopropyl alcohol spray which reduces bubbles considerably 🤗

Hello. How did you measure how much resin is needed?
@Saracopp19762 ай бұрын
@@МанэМаринэмку so you can fill the mold with water and measure how much you use and that gives you the amount for resin. Been doing this so long that I can judge it now 🤣 good tip is have a few small molds on hand and any left overs you can pour into them 🤗

😂😊Hey u don’t know until u know! I’m sure ur familiar enough with resin that the issue wasn’t the resin itself, it was that u over heated it & that made it begin to kick off too soon. If u warm ur resin too much it causes an exothermal reaction. Next time just warm part A or part B in a warm water bath if ur doing it to compensate for colder temperatures. Maybe save the coffee cup warmer for doing small batch tests on single coasters AFTER u have done ur design, or u know 4 Coffee❤! Some blooms react fine to a heat mat & others will begin to spread/thin out. Maybe grab urself a laser thermometer so u can keep an eye on the temp too! Either way, I respect that u shared the video showing that resin is a fickle bitch & not every project goes as planned as many artists make it seem! If ur learning something from ur mistake, then it’s still a success in my book!

I absolutely love your colours x I have a question regarding the resin though.... I also use dipoxy and last night I was making dominos. I'd only made up 90g as it was for a top coat ...there was about 50g left in the cup and. it flash cured as I was syringing it out.... never happened to me before and there was nothing added to it.... have you had that happen at all? I've never had that happen with any other brand I've used so now I'm worried to use it in the thinkers or molds like them
