yes you can select different sizes and draw at any elevation you need, either flat or elevated. See cadavenue.com/mechq.htm

are you running AViCAD - see if you can repeat this in a new file - you can also use cadavenue.com/support if you need addtl help.

@cadavenue yes I am running avicad. I attempted to open a new file but even then the cursor automatically switches to highlight instead of drawing even I attempt to draw in a pump.

With "plain" AutoCAD you'll need a good block library and then an understanding of drawing ISO lines. You can find tutorials under "draw iso lines in autocad"

this is Mech-Q - an addon for AutoCAD - but also found in AViCAD

if all that did not work, you could try resetting your profile. This will bring back the default Acad workspace. Type OP for Options Select the Profiles tab in the Options dialog box choose the profile to reset

Hi, yes, you can rotate the UCS with the Ribbon and command line. The three-point option will move the UCS origin to the plane. Hope this helps

Now in the plan and profile viewport I place an independent text for each one about the progressives that that plan refers to and in the same way on the letterhead. What field could I use so that when I change the progressiveness of my text in the layout, the text in my profile and letterhead viewport is automatically updated? see this video - its not mine - but it show you how to export attributes to a xcel file - change the file then import them back into Acad - you could do something like this if you copied the attribute to your different profiles - then you could auto-update them with xcel kzbin.info/www/bejne/qnLVqI2ZZaZ5eNU

@@cadavenue no, not grouped, kept them separate. Could it be to do with the Acad version? I’m only running 2010? I did create another tube then subtracted that from the main tube. Main tube is half round so just needed the secondary (solid) tube to blend into main half round tube

@@5tanw0rr311 It may be the version I cannot test here, unfortunately, but surfaces and solids should have no issues subtracting from each other - I am running a program called AViCAD, which is an AUtoCAD-like alternative. But this is a basic function and should work with most versions.

⁠I can’t see why it shouldn’t work as I have all the functionality. Will give it another go sometime. Thanks for your time
