And the bottom line in any business is to make money for shareholders while minimizing losses. I'm pretty sure the system is already "fixed" just how they like it. No worries man, we appreciate your honesty. I was diagnosed bipolar myself years ago, and only very recently, with C-PTSD, which finally made my other symptoms and behavior make sense. I've always been fairly "stable" for a bipolar person, but I get episodes of hypomania. I get some other symptoms I'm still too embarrassed to mention on here, but I hear ya on other similar symptoms too. I decided to start a local support group for other C-PTSD folks, to see if we can help each other. You're more than welcome to join our group, if I ever host gatherings online. I could email you the info, if you'd like? But totally up to you. No pressure. Hang in there, man. 🫂

I don't know what things may or may not be in yourself. The crying thing sounds like how you deal with stress. I've seen that in myself, and my mind races too. If you need a name and they call it that and it helps, then ok. I think your normal, your an emotional guy dealing with stress in a tough world. Don't be overly critical of yourself. If naming it helps, good for you, but in my mind I think your normal. Or i am undiagnosed lol. Really you do yours but don't be that hard on yourself. Others/we care about you!

Where are you getting the $600 cost for the ltva permit? The website stil says $180 and that's what I've paid for the last 6 years. Also, yes it is over crowded at la posa in Quartzsite but I always go to imperial dam north shore and Mittry Lake which is never crowded.
@joshmartin72369 күн бұрын
@@jaysonschor Carter said it was a proposal , nothing has changed yet
@QuietResilience9 күн бұрын
This year the price remains $180 for ALL LTVA's but this proposal everyone is talking about is for the YUMA Field office managed LTVA's and the price adjustment is for the 2025 season.
@NomadicPride10 күн бұрын
I've read the entire proposal and the budget (just to maintain existing services) surpasses revenue by $350k already. This isn't sustainable. A 7-month stay (even with zero amenities) is easily worth more than $600. People are already complaining about the dumpsters being full, bathrooms being a mess, no toilet paper, etc... and that tracks... with a budget shortfall, those things happen. People have just become comfortable (and I daresay they feel entitled to) paying a rate that has not been cost-adjusted in 15 years. It's time. I fully support the fee increase and have submitted a public comment saying as much.
@QuietResilience10 күн бұрын
And from what I understand everything is Volunteer based at the LTVA? I see both sides but ultimately, I agree with you it is time for an increase. I was in the area last year and witnessed the work being done at, I believe, La Posa South. I would consider paying just because I stay in the area but even then, I only stay for 3 months.

Maybe the higher prices will discourage all the tweakers that are scattered out there in those LTVA areas. I have heard about a lot of theft / vandalizing / assaults happening out there. Plus big drunken rowdy groups causing trouble all hours of the night Even at $600.. it will be worth it to a lot of snowbirds & wealthier people. Personally, I don't have interest in those places.. I'm already living in the thick of Sonoran Desert. Pus there are so many free places with fewer people. 14 day stay is the way to go.. have to leave for groceries / water anyway.

There have been a ton of data breaches in just the past couple of years. The criminals are getting much better at sending emails that look legitimate. My brother and I both got hit recently with some fake emails that we never opened. Change all your passwords, make sure your 2FA is enabled. I've heard Delete Me does a really good job of deleting our data with brokers.

Nextdoor is not a scam. It is a site where you can connect with your neighbors / community. You can also go there to find services or contractors . This is how I know about it. I have gotten work for my Tile business there years back when I lived in Oregon. The scam part is an imposter site trying to lure you in to get your information. Happens all the time..
