Thank you for this interesting podcast. Having been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia for many years before my diagnosis was corrected to cervical myelopathy, I find the topic of this podcast very interesting as I wonder how much of overlap there’s between these two pathologies and most importantly which one of them is the egg and which one is the chicken if you see what I mean? I also have hyper mobility syndrome which is quite common as a leading cause to fibromyalgia and spinal instability and deformities, sometimes I think that there’s too many names for the same pathology, unfortunately when myelopathy is diagnosed essentially as Fibromyalgia it often leads to delays in making the proper diagnosis and treatment as the medications prescribed for fibromyalgia can provide some relief of myelopathy symptoms until a major decompensation happens and imposes the key investigation which is the spinal MRI.

I think I am having myelopathy that is hard to detect on mri. They tell me my cord is not compressed but I can move my head or press down on my head and my arms and legs go numb. How can. I get the doctors to investigate this and get a diagnosis for me that will allow me to receive treatment

I was diagnosed of cervical myelopathy in 2017. And surgery was recommended. Am afraid of surgery and obviously now it's progressing. My left arm to my shoulder my abdomen to my legs hurts so much. Can't sleep well at night. The xray I did last month says there is straightening of the curvature exuberant and detach osteophytes on c3 - c6 vertebrae. Please doctor advice me. I live in Nigeria where we don't have very good medical equipments. Would have loved to travel out to have it operated but I don't have the money.

As you can see I am writing this during the pandemic. I had been looking for a support group and found your channel. Are you still involved in a support group? Is it on Facebook? I don't have Facebook but if you have an active support group I would start a Facebook. Thank you.
