Seen these guys 4 times live. Last time was 2006, House of Blues in Orlando. No shit, my ears were ringing for 3 days. It was well worth it

I think the biggest rivalry in thrash has to be Municipal Waste and Crucial Unit

Why do people always put Slayer in the same league as Megadeth? Megadeth is clearly the second biggest thrash band. It goes Metallica............Megadeth.....Slayer... Anthrax

I just mean by how many albums each band have sold, respectively. Personal opinion is personal opinion. I like Slayer and Anthrax a lot, Slayer probably more than Metallica.
@digitalspace739 күн бұрын
@ Have to agree with you there. Album sales alone put Metallica way ahead of most bands and they’ve always been one my favourites but Slayer has always been my top pick of the big 4.
@skaldlouiscyphre24538 күн бұрын
If we're just going by favourites replace Metallica with No Mercy. Slayer are probably tops for me, at least for bands of that era. There's also a lot of thrashcore/proto-powerviolence leaning stuff I'd namedrop ahead of a lot of unambiguously metal bands.

My favorit and most underrated Iron Maiden Song is Sun and Steel. Nicko had some Kind of Groove and Sensibility that makes his drumming unique in the world of Metal. His right foot and Bell Ride playing is something Special in the World of drumming. I think it is no good idea for the band to carry on without Nicko. They should stop know as an Legend of Rock n Roll.

System of a down i genuinely the worst band of the era. Terrible vocals. Serj actually isn't a bad vocalist, but the performance and delivery is awful. The drumming is laughably mediocre, especially when you have drummers like joey(arguably in the top 5 best drummers of all time, and matt from mudvayne. It's hard to be a bad bass player. But the guitar work is almost lazy. They are one band that got incredibly lucky. I hate being mean, but it's true. And I am happy they had success. But they are a fucking terrible band.

I always loved the first two albums the most. Number of the Beast is probably their best album though. But there are iconic tracks throughout their collection through the 80s. Powerslave is such an incredible album with some tracks that are some of their best work. The song “Powerslave” would be among my very favorites.
