This event is overtuned. The crawler monkeys are too fast and tanky. You can't kite them, you can't kill them quickly. The only way to do this event is cheese it with ziplines and c4, and totally ignore the crawlers. Not a good game mechanic where you only have 1 solution to do it properly.

my problem is there is always a stray ranged enemy somewhere that knocks my team off to the floor and we all get insta dropped

honestly i think they should make the crawlers prioritize leaping up to kill people on zips like flying enemies prioritize them, and nerf their corrosive blood to compensate because if you dont have a gunner it is a bit much. i love this event overall but its too gunner-dependant with shields and zips being by far the 2 best things for it (though drills are of course great too)

This method is nice but if u wanna see some real speed: - Gunner // Shield // Use BRT7 with lead spray - Driller for the stone -- Others for crowd control. Melts the stone like crazy

you can just shield the team when the core HP isnt invisible and driller immediately drill the core shell after the core stone finished building it

I found that aoe weapons ate the way to go with haz5+. Mortar rounds, breach cutter, the entire driller class, even electric boltshark. Sadly this impacts a lot of scout's capability for self defense since hes primarily a precision characted. I don't really like how he was thrusted upon a role of VIP takedown like wardens and mactera

Nothing really changed here. These mini waves always have been spawning when you're taking your time progressing main objective. And it so just happens that waves consisting only of basic grunts always the biggest ones.
