Unmount using terminal was the option that worked for me and it was easy. And I’m not a terminal savvy person at all, it actually intimidates me as I’m always worried I’ll mess up something making new, bigger problems.

My $2000 gaming pc boots in around the same time. Macs boot quicker, even 15 year old ones with an SSD. It's not about the boot speed though, it's about the sleep efficiency. Modern windows laptops can get pretty good sleep efficiency, but still not what a mac can get

The instruction for erasing Macintosh HD is not accurate; I exactly followed the instructions but it damaged my computer. The HDD has not been erased throughly and the mac os can’t be reinstalled on it.
