Did you put pouring medium onto the canvas before putting the ink?

No, at the initial start of the paint the ink is the first to go down followed by isoprophyl

Wonderful music, and fabulous art! May I ask what tool you were using to apply detail? Also the cloth you used looks like a microfiber - do you wet it first before applying alcohol? Thank you so much for sharing - I am late to the party but am now subscribed!

Typically, I use a soft jersey material from old shirts sometimes I add isopropyl to the cloth for blending purposes. I use silicone brushes to add detail.

Thank you. Mandy, my piñata brass or gold always blends through the coloured ink and never clumps like this…any tips for getting it to clump would be most appreciated.

I make sure to mix it really well to start and then using the metal needle nose bottle tip seems to concentrate it to the location I want - try using the Tim Holtz alloys instead - they’re much more pigmented

I don’t keep track of the colors I use but I do have swatch videos of all the Copic colors I have and other brand color swatches available on this channel that you can view to help you decide what colors to use and purchase for your own work.

Hi Meghan, I don’t know which color I used for this particular painting it was so long ago. I use mostly Trex inks, Copic and Ranger Tim Holtz inks

I like them better then the Tim Holtz minerals and mixatives but I use the Tim Holtz alloys more than trex shimmers when I paint.

Yes, it is all alcohol ink and I used isopropyl alcohol as an agent to move the inks

My favorite paper is Yasutomo mineral paper but when you’re first starting out Legion Brand medium weight yupo paper or NARA synthetic paper are both good

I’m a lawyer who needed to relax for my health; I recently found that alcohol ink art was good for me because it is simple and approachable-just wanted you to know that your videos have helped me the most of all (as you show the whole method step by step and include which colors you are using- so I can keep going without being overwhelmed.)
