Quick update, I missed it in the Video Article but in a Medival Saga the knight Ruoblieb has the following conversation with a dwarf (zwerg) Ruodlieb said to the dwarf: "You will not be killed by me. I will release you promptly if I can trust you. "Far be it that this deceit should ever prevail between us. We (dwarves) would then not live so long nor in such good health. For that reason you will not reach a mature age. The length of each man's life depends upon his good faith. [heart]. We do not speak otherwise than as we bear it in our own hearts (i.e. (than our heart dictates), nor do we eat various foods that breed illnesses. Therefore we will endure unscathed longer than you. Do not distrust me, I will act in such a way that you may well have [faith in me, but if you distrust me none the less, my wife shall be a hostage." He calls her from the cave, and she comes out promptly, small, quite beautiful and even decked out in gold and raiments. She rushed before Ruodlieb's feet and poured forth lamentations: "O best man of all, release my husband from chains and hold me for him until he has paid off his whole debt." So in this case it is the fact that they don't lie that allows zwerg and their ilk to live so long, at least if we trust this zwerg.

🎉😢😢😂 good video. Sometimes fairies or other creatures want babies as payback for the parents offending them , like witch from rapunzel or the nixe from the story of the nix in the pond.

Was the Show supposed to cut off was that intentional or unintended?

The 1st story do you have more information on It reminds me very much of a story. My grandmother told me as a child And sadly when my dad found out she was telling these stories he got very angry and she had to stop. I would very much like to hear that full story because for me A part of my Heritage was denied to me I'd like to know.

As a fantasy writer who happens to be writing a novel featuring lying fairies, this was really interesting! I did not know about this trope of fairies being unable, or very against, lying, so I guess I accidentally took a liberty by making them liars on top of tricksters. They're next to the ghosts with made up rules and the nymphs who have a common conscience, I suppose. The concept of a magical being unable to lie due to cultural customs, or their own natural bounds or a severe magical punishment is very interesting, however. I'm saving this video.

What could I carry that would keep evil faeries away? If I carry iron, it will hurt all faeries, correct? I don't want to do that. I just want to be protected from malicious intent. You just need to be polite and show respect and have pure intuitions, it's impossible to cheat or lie to the Faery folk and the Most of then are kind ones, they are like humans in the perspective that they are individuals, in all the other ways the Faery folk are so much better and purer than us humans in my opinion 💖
