1. jesus does not fulfill the prophesy in daniel. hence, jews all rejected him in his day, and to this day. 2. everything else shows why christianity spread, not why jesus *had* to come when he did. but you are free to see the spread of christianity itself as a miracle guided by the holy spirit. but this video does not prove what it claims to prove.

Jews today say there is no longer any hope of the return of the Messiah. They say in addition that anyone that tries to figure out the timing of Daniel is accursed. Gotta be frank with you, if Jesus isn't the one that fulfilled Daniel, then there is no Messiah. From the Jews, we have these two passages: Sanhedrin 97b:9 Rabbi Shmuel bar Naḥmani says that Rabbi Yonatan says: May those who calculate the end of days be cursed [tippaḥ], as they would say once the end of days that they calculated arrived and the Messiah did not come, that he will no longer come at all. Sanhedrin 97b:14 Rav says: All the ends of days that were calculated passed, and the matter depends only upon repentance and good deeds.

I just love J Warner Wallace’s work. He breaks things down so well and tears down the ridiculous standards ppl set for belief in Christ, the divinity of the Bible, and God in general and calls out their hypocrisy for believing in things on much lower bars, the justice system included.

God accosted me in 1974 in a sneaky way. I had really no clue what I was getting into. Church was a bit unsettling giving types like Dawkins a way to cause me to be unsure. So many Christians don’t have a deep sense of God’s presence today. Those who demand proof will get none because “proof” merely feeds a need to fit things into a logical system. God is constantly speaking. If we can quiet down, there’s a chance we can hear him.

I consider it certain that the universe is full of life. It is agreeable to God's nature to create life, and our observations of the universe make it incredibly likely that there is life throughout every galaxy. One God is God of all. Jesus is the express image of that God. On some distant planet, where some other intelligent people likely carry on in their own affairs, it could only be one Holy Spirit who shapes their consciences, their understanding, the laws they are accountable to, and history to which they are subject.

When we are born we start to die.. when we are reborn we start to live. The truth is that all sin leads to death but Jesus frees us from all sin, though we will one day die, we will live because he made us seperate from the world he set us apart that we may not be apart of them and there sin.. it is sad to see this people so lost and not knowing what they are doing and why it's wrong they are doing it..

To interpret anything in the Bible as literal is anathema to what “god” really has encouraged: question everything and find your own way. A being doesn’t create free will in one breath then ask or demand every living thing eschew it in service of an unknowable being in the same breath. Plus, the Bible is written by man under man’s mortal, limited assumptions about the universe. The idea that a supreme being cares that you like the same sex or that you pray before eating is ludicrous and very much a product of man.

@@JulianGentry considering that god didn’t write that, I’d interpret that as another person, not god, telling me what to do. Coerced belief or faith is absolutely worthless.

Why do the Jews blow the rams horn ...... In Genesis 46, Joseph says to his brothers, “So when Pharaoh summons you and asks, ‘What is your occupation?’ you shall answer, ‘Your servants have been breeders of livestock from the start until now, both we and our fathers’-so that you may stay in the region of Goshen. Because the Egyptian's did not want to give up the worship of their prized Bull, the sign of Taurus, and move over to the Ram .... the sign of Aries. The lamb was first put on the cross .... only later was the Christ put up on the cross as we moved into the age of Pisces. The fish symbol first seen on a coin, minted by Titus Flavius. The Christ said to his disciples ...... when you enter the city you will see a man carrying a pitcher of water, follow him as he goes into a house. Matthew 28:20 He also said .......... And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Because it is an astro thological story ..... told over and over. We are now in the age of the man who carries the water pitcher. Abelard Reuchlin and Roman Piso write about this extensively.

Looking down at these comments, no wonder there are over 40 000 Protestant sects. People without the degree in theology feel they're chosen to interpret something that has been already interpreted by numerous Church Councils. It is so easy to manipulate and lie when you have no accountability since you're not officially verified as a scholar by the academic community. These people remind of me these "Strangers and Freaks" in GTA V. The Church has been there for 2000 years, and you think you're bringing up something not already seen or heard? We had heretics before, and they were refuted and rebuked both intelectually and physically, don't think you have "invented the warm water".

There's no way you could argue that the coming of Jesus Christ to this world didn't change history as a whole and the world would considerably be very different nowadays without the influence of Christianity. With that being said, if Christ didn't appear two thousand years ago, would the world now be a better scenario for the Messiah to come? For one I don't think jewish prophecy and scripture would've been so relevant, maybe even forgotten in such scenario.
@JulianGentry
@JulianGentry 4 күн бұрын
Today would not have been better. Jesus is the God of the Jews, and God sent the Jews prophecy that said he'd arrive at a certain time in the past. That's why modern Jews actually say there's NO hope for the Messiah to come anymore

Is this the manner in which you uphold your faith? You just revealed to us that the mythology of ancient Egypt and Rome served as a major inspiration for the man-made religion of Christianity. You have confirmed that Christianity is a hybrid of Judaism and Roman and Egyptian mythology by projecting Jesus into some of the criteria that the pagans used to interpret God. I apologise, but you have not proven anything. Probably, you are not at fault because Christianity is such a fragile faith and almost seems insulting to human intellect when we examine its core doctrines and historical foundation.Continue your search, you may one day discover what is the truth. Good luck!

The counter-argument on resurrection is a bad one. It is said (with some accuracy, although this needs to be put into perspective since Osiris has been linked to vegetation) that Osiris does not follow the pattern of the "dying-and-rising" god - but neither does Jesus. This dying-and-rising consists of a periodic death and resurrection, provoking or symbolizing the cycles of nature, the seasons in particular. We have Tammuz, Attis, Persephone and so on. There's nothing like it with Jesus, who dies once and resurrects once, like Osiris. Osiris is very similar to Jesus in this respect, and to deny it ruins the rest of the demonstration.

This is pretty much skewed: other deities ended being worship pretty much because when Christianity became a majority at late III and early IV centuries, it turned on Jewish mode to erase all other religions by destroying their temples and killing their priests. Also the temple was destroyed in 70 because the Hebrews were to reject Jesus. This was known by the Father and by the Son as well. If for any reason Jesus came earlier or later, the Temple would either crumble earlier or be just fine for longer because it was tied to Jesus, not the other way around.
